I know people who have had this done with good and great results. I have fine lines around my eyes, mouth, and on my cheeks and sun damage/dark spots on my face. I am hoping for a smoother, younger skin, of course.
I got my prescriptions filled and collected the items I thought I'd need after reading reviews here. I prepared for one week inside after the procedure.
What I have to prepare:
A LOT of Aquaphor
Vitamin C pills (aid healing)
A cool gel mask
Non-drowsy and (please help me sleep) drowsy benadryl (for itch relief, I hope)
Hydrocortizon 1% creme with aloe (itch relief)
Lots of Q-tips
Acyclovir (antiviral prescription)
Steriod 6 day taper pack (prescription)
Acetaminaphen (pain relief)
Cleanser, nectar, moisturizer, and sunblock given to me by the doctor
I asked for mild sedation in addition to the skin numbing creme. I read about people finding this procedure painful and I like to minimize or eliminate pain when possible. I also had anibotics at the office before the procedure as well as wearing a patch to help prevent nausea.

I am scheduled to have co2 , but after all the info , I am very reluctant to go through with it...
I had facelift with neck, but I am not satisfied with it. I let surgeon know and he said co2 would tighten my skin... I don't have anyone to help or support me so I am wanting to back out and be done with all of it... facelift was so freaking painful, and a hole lot of money and not satisfied... I am a wimp when it comes to pain... Just thinking about it gets me freaked.

Looks like you will have great results! Congrats! Was this fractionated CO2 and/or do you know the brand of laser?

I had Sciton Erbium ablative laser done on October the 13th and am still pink. Stayed in the house for a week after and went through very similar experience with vaseline etc. I was very uncomfortable for the first 4 days, swollen, sore, itchy, then peeling and actually felt it was a major procedure and the whole body in post op exhaustion mode, luckily I had a week off work and a good book on hand : )
Now almost 6 weeks later I'm very happy with the results. The lines (wrinkles) are still there but less obvious, and its like the whole face got a subtle lift. The texture and even-ness of colour on my skin is wonderful. I'm 65 years old so not expecting to look really young but just my best self and fresh. Definitely feel I have achieved that. I'm getting comments that.I look well, but don't feel it is obvious I've had a procedure done. I'm hoping that results will continue.
I'm wondering if anybody knows how long collagen keeps being stimulated and how long until one can expect to see maximum results?
I've started to put tretinoin (retinoic acid) on at night just recently. This was something I did before the laser and that I felt made a whole world of difference to my skin. I seem to tolerate out quite well straight away, there is a little dryness but otherwise all good.
Laser is something I might do again, but not for a while, it's pretty intense to go through. All in all I'm very happy I did it and think it's worth both the downtime and the money.

I too had it done but just 3 weeks ago. I'm still pink. I was told to use only vaseline and then after 2 weeks told to use Eucerin Healing Lotion. I started using Aquafore and Coconut Oil - as everyone on this site seems to be using it. I am still a bit swollen so I can't see the final results but I think I'm going to like it

1 Day Post Full Face CO2 Laser procedure.

The procedure seemed to go well. I didn't feel anything and don't even remember the procedure itself. I had twilight sleep sedation and could respond to questions, but I don't remember any of it.
I slept with my head elevated last night and have been putting Aquaphor on every hour or so as some places are soaking it up quickly. My face is swollen swollen, especially around my eyes, but I don't have any pain or itching. The worst thing now is that goopy Aquafor gets all over everything...especially annoying on my glasses...and on my eyelashes, so it's difficult to do anything that requires me to be able to see details clearly.
I'm taking the anti-viral medication, steriods, and acetaminaphin for inflamation. I've put the cold pack on every 4 hours or so.

I hope all goes well and I'm sure you will see fantastic results X
I never regret for one moment having the laser & would definitely recommend it to anybody with damaged skin.
How are you doing now?
Would be great to see some pics when you find time x
