WORTH IT$6,000
A few months ago, Dr. Richards performed an arm lift on me. The results are amazing and my recovery was fast and painless. I had read horror stories on Real Self from other people who had this procedure performed by other plastic surgeons, so I was a little afraid to have it done. As with other surgeries performed by Dr. Richards on me, the results exceeded my expectations. I had no complications and my scars are healing nicely. The scars are hardly noticeable unless you are looking for them.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Dr. Richards and his wonderful staff! I've visited a few plastic surgery offices within the past 20 years having various procedures done. None of those plastic surgeons come close to the skill level, talent, and experience of Dr. Richards. None of them produced the outstanding results that Dr. Richards has provided me. Dr. Richards genuinely cares about you and your desire to improve how you look. He takes the time to listen to what you say, and I mean he really listens. He is honest, and he will tell you outright if he cannot improve an area that is bothering you. He is not one of those plastic surgeons who is arrogant and operates on you thinking he can improve everything. However, when he does operate on you, you can be assured you will be amazed at the results. In the last two years, Dr. Richards has performed SmartLipo, a mini abdominoplasty, a modified thighplasty, an otoplasty, and a brachioplasty on me. With each surgery, I was transformed into a younger looking person. I had no complications, fast recoveries, and the results were as close to perfect as possible. In another two years, I will be having a face and neck lift. Without giving it a second thought, Dr. Richards will be performing these on me too. His entire staff is highly trained, attentive, and very caring. They welcome you with warm, sincere smiles and make you feel as if you are the most important person in the world. My surgical coordinator is Joanne. Joanne is the type of person you want by your side during any medical procedure. She is compassionate, easy to talk to, extremely competent, and very patient. I highly recommend using Dr. Richards and his staff for any procedure you are thinking of, because they are genuinely good people who are incredible in their field.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

I was thinking of getting an arm lift later on in the year because of the sagging when I lift my arms. What was your recovery time like??
My full recovery time was about 10 days. The area under my armpit and elbow was still sensitive for a few more days. Before the surgery, I was worried I would not be able to take care of myself, but I had no issues from the start.
Oh ok, I wanna try to lose some more weight and possibly use arm weights to see if it helps but if not an arm lift is what I will be getting. Did you pay out of pocket or did your insurance cover the procedure?
I paid out of pocket. I've never heard of any insurance company paying for cosmetic surgery.
Oh ok, I was jus wondering thank you so much for all of your help
Of course. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Can you post your before and after pics...and your scar pic.
Was your $6k listed above the complete costs (doctor and facility).
Sorry. I don't post any pictures of my surgeries on the Internet. All I can say, is it was well worth it and Dr. Richards does a fantastic job with scar placement. The other surgeries he did on me (thigh lift and tummy tuck) scars are fading away nicely.

Yes, the $6000 included everything.
