56 Yr Old Breast Cancer Survivor

I just came across these pictures and wanted to share them.
I was so extremely happy with the final results of my reconstruction then February 2018 I found out I had breast cancer again it was in my lymph nodes but I choose to remove my left breast in August 2018 I started the reconstruction at the same time. I discussed my options with Dr. Lin and I decided to do the Latissimus dorsi flap with an implant. I have to wait 6 months to continue with the process due to radiation therapy.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer October 2014 I had a mastectomy done in November and started chemo December 26, 2014 after my chemo I did radiation. I'm from Cape Cod and traveled to Boston to see Dr. Samuel Lin after my initial consultation I decided to do the deep flap I wish my doctors here on the Cape would have told me about this option before I had the mastectomy and started the process of reconstruction (I was going to have an implant) but wasn't happy with the plastic surgeon I was seeing on the Cape.
Dr Lin was wonderful he's very personable and took his time answering all my questions. This was a very long surgery and I was afraid just thinking about what I was going to be going through Dr Lin really reassured me that he would take very good care of me so on the day of surgery I felt so comfortable knowing I was in good hands. I did very well with the recovery process and while in the hospital my pain was managed absolutely excellent. Dr. Lin worked his magic and I am so extremely happy with the outcome of my surgery I would highly recommend Dr Lin to anyone Who may be facing having a mastectomy if your opting to have reconstruction go for a consultation with Dr. Lin I can't say enough about how happy I am with the outcome. For anyone who is going through breast cancer treatment and surgery I wish you the very best and remember our breast don't make us who we are stay strong and God bless. Just wanted to add one more thing if you do breast reconstruction and need to have a nipple tattoo there is a tattoo artist in Hyannis on the Cape who does them for free he works out of Spilt Milk Tattoo on main street His name is Mark Corliss he did my tattoo and I am extremely happy with it. Mark wouldn't even let me give him a tip he does it out of the kindness of his heart.
