WORTH IT
I had labiaplasty done a month ago by a local doctor where I live. He did a nice job but unfortunately we did not discuss everything that needed to be done and as a result I now need additional surgery and downtime.

Dr. Marosan at Bellvue Plastic Surgeons replied to my question on Real Self. I was so impressed by his counseling that I scheduled a consult with him. I drove all the way to Seattle, worrying that the office might call and cancel or the doc wouldn't be available. They did call, but only to confirm my 2pm appointment! Whew, talk about punctual. On my way out I scheduled a perineoplasty and clitoral hood reduction to complete my desired results. I can't tell you how relieved I am to have my entire vagina examined and discussed completely. I feel so confident going into this next surgery because I know Dr. Marosan will give me my desired results in one surgery and because he is a board certified plastic surgeon who has done numerous vaginal makeovers.

Most of all I look forward to having this all behind me and when I look in the mirror I like what I see. That's going to be the best feeling ever! I know I didn't have this confidence when I had my labiaplasty in Spokane because I knew all my issues hadn't been addressed. But tonight it's the night before surgery and I am already on cloud 9.

Thank you Dr. Marosan for taking the time to address all my needs. I can't wait to see the results!

well I made it through my first week. I was surprised at how much better perineoplasty recovery was for me compared to Labiaplasty! I really thought PN would be worse. I have felt great all week. I could feel a lighter sensation down there following surgery. Do you know the feeling when you hold your stomach firm but not flexed? That's how my Peri area feels. Rather than feeling heavy with weight I feel light and tight. That's the best way I can describe it.

The stitches on the peri area originally stick out between the rectum and vagina because that's how that area is stitched up. My doctor told me that it will eventually flatten out.

I only took pain pills for two days. After that I didn't need them at all.

I've had to make myself be still and watch movies because I want to make sure my body heals properly. But I feel perfectly fine.

Wiping after using the restroom is tricky. I use a squirt bottle. I can't wait until I can sit down and wipe like normal again!

Glad everything is going well with you gives me so much more confidence to get this procedure done, will you post pics of the whole healing process?

I will. I am at one week post-opt now. There wasn't much change from the day one until now as far as appearance. I did notice I became more uncomfortable on days 6-7 because the stitches are dissolving. I had some itchiness but I took some beneydryal and helped. Also, some of the stitches on my clitoral hood were rubbing on my clothes and caused some discomfort. One or two stitches in the peri area were poking me too. I tried to just stay still and applied ice to help comfort those areas.

Hey how's your perineal scar holding up, does it feel smooth to touch or can you feel where it had been stitched up ( ragged )...sorry if I bother lol it's just so very little info on this procedure as far as the scar, and if you are still lubricating on your own, I read about that being a problem after the surgery because the glands that create the lubrication are removed, is this a issue for you ?

sorry it took so long to see this question! My peri scare started out very elevated and bumpy. However my plastic surgeon told me that this was how it was going to be in the early stages and over time I will notice it flattening and smoothing out. This last week I started to see just that. On Wednesday I will be 5 weeks post opt. It wasn't until this last week where I really started to notice a difference. It is smoothing out and the bumps from the sutures are almost gone.

As far as lubricant, no problem there whatsoever. It could be a little early to know tho because I am still healing. I've had a menstruatal cycle that looked kinda goopy but I believe that was due to the blood not sluffing off the way it would usually and instead collecting on the internal sutures then exiting.

I love the way my vagina looks from the back, like if I were to bend over and pick something up. I see nothing but cheeks and a high crack. Sounds weird but I wear a lot of bathing suits so it makes me happy.

I haven't had sex yet. I'm waiting one more week. I am nervous because my vagina looks so much smaller!!!

I have never felt so comfortable going into surgery! I fully trust this doctor to give me the results that I want and now I know that's what was lacking last time when I had a different doctor (certified in cosmetics) do my labiaplasty compared to my new doctor (board certified plastic surgeon).

I did not have to go all the way under for my surgeries which Is what I wanted. I could hear the doc and nurse talking. I was very relaxed and felt nothing down there.

I walked out of the office, on my own and went in for a checkup the following morning. Easy peasy.

wow wow wow! Having my clitoral hood reduction and perineoplasty surgery has been a much better experience than my labiaplasty!

I had read a lot of stressful reviews , particularly on perineoplasty. From my experience I was way more comfortable having peri/clitoral surgery than LP.

The last couple days my stitches have been bothering me a bit on the top of my clitoral hood. I think because they tend to rub on my underwear and that causes some irritation. But as long as I just stay relaxed and lay around then I feel better.

I went back to work this week but did as little as possible. Lol! I sat on a neck cushion that I use on airplanes to drive and in my office chair. That really helps! I never got around to buying a donut hole seat and didn't really need to because my neck cushion worked so well.

I've been showering everyday. I try to take quick showers so my stitches don't get to soft.

I am becoming more happy with the results everyday. I still have a little more lose skin than I would like but at 38 years old and 1 baby later I am so happy with my decision to do this. In 6 months from now I bet I will be thrilled.

I am thankful everyday for finding my plastic surgeon on Real Self. Dr. Morason had answered a question I posted about my labiaplasty and in it he mentioned the potential need for perineum work. I respond via email directly to his clinic at Bellvue Plastic Surgeons, I set up a consult and as a result found a board certified plastic surgeon who was experienced in vaginal rejuvenation.

I don't feel the heavy weight I had in my perineum anymore. I didn't even know I experienced that weight until after surgery when I felt an immediate lightness. I started down this road mostly concerned about my appearance and not as much about my well being and health. It shocks me how much better I feel! I can only imagine sex will be 100X better too!

Anyhow, here are a couple pictures one week post opt. Cheers!
