It's been 10 years ago that I had my breast implants done ( and it's probably time for revision work)
Dr. and staff was amazing! I wanted to mention that in my case it was recommended that I have a lift done along with the implants. I opted not to do the lift at the time because I was not a fan of the scarring. For the first 4-5 years, I was happy that I didn't do the lift. In fact, I liked the natural "hang" that my breast had as I felt it gave me a more authentic look. I was often complimented on how "real" the appeared. They also felt real ( they still do even now) Today I am 47 years old and gravity, and age is taking over and I probably will need to consider either a lift and/or a replacement and lift. I will more than likely seek out Dr. Egrari again for future work.

If at all possible, leave them out. As a victim of 11 procedures, don't do it again. It's not worth it for your health and welfare down the road. I have had 11 procedures due to breast implants and they become a problem as you get older-and we all do. I am having mine removed October 24th and my work, over the years, has been done by the best physicians Mayo Clinic and Scripps had to offer. Go with God...

Over the last few months I have been thinking about what I will do regarding revision work. I'm now certain that I want explantation of the exisiting implants and I definitely do not want replacements! Can't wait to be natural again. And you're right... the older we become, these things are a problem. I have been overall pretty fortunate to not have encountered any major complications, but I also think I will feel better and healthier. Thank you for your comment as it has helped me to determine that this is the best thing for me.

Thank you for sharing your story! That's great your implants have lasted this long. Are you thinking of a revision in the near future?

Ideally I am seeking to keep implants out and just do a lift. However, I am concerned about how much volume and upper pole fullness I will have.

Losing upper pole fullness is common with a lift but you will be a different size and perhaps won't feel the need for as much fullness once you're lifted and perky. Some women are now adding breast fat transfer to their lifts...but this is quite the process!

Well Dr Egrari did my breasts with saline implants (no lift) in 2000. Over the years my breasts got larger I believe this was due to menaupase. In 2007 I had reduction where a Doctor at Virginia Mason Hospital 's plastic surgery center removed the implants reduced my breast size then re-inserted the same implants. These implants have been through a lot. I have a love hate relationship with them! On August 11 th I was in Miami for a BBL with Dr Fisher (still here-must stay consistent with choice of quality Doctor) and Dr Fisher told me they looked great! So the love relationship with my breast is back on! Really, I am in love with the way my Brazilian Bitt Lift results look already and I'm only 5 days post-op. Thanks for your message -I'm leaving early right now for the airport as I missed the plane last night. It's raining here and Seattle has had a lack of rain so I'm not complaining about the weather at all. Please do keep in touch from one Seattlelite to the next- Go Hawks!

Hello Doris,
For some reason today I decided to log on to Real Self and I read your comment. I am so eager to hear how your BBL went with Dr. Fischer. By the way, did you opt to go out of state for finding the lack of surgeons that would give you what you were seeking for a BBL? I know that was my reason.... Was happy with Dr. Egari for my breast work, but wasn't sure about a BBL with him. Go Hawks!

Hello Doris,
It's been years since I been on here and I've been thinking about a BBL maybe with Dr. Fisher. Were you pleased with your results? I loved Dr. Egari for my implants but not sure I would do a BBL with him. Oh, I've since removed my implants with Dr. Lisa Sowder about 3 years ago now.
