Today was my birthday
WORTH IT$1,500
I wanted to add some thoughts. Comparing with previous birthday days , today I did not have to keep applying lipstick. At all. I couldn't have a happier birthday. Most of the time I forget I have implants. They feel so natural.

Update- one month mark.
I still feel there is an foreign object in my lips. I don't like to eat in front of people. I feel the movement of my mouth looks ridiculous. I drink better Still drip some on my shirt. Other than that I feel awesome.

That is a lot of negatives you've mentioned. Can't eat out with people without feeling awkward. Can't drink without spilling . Did your PS tell you this would be happening at 1 month post op and when is it all supposed to stop? I realize it doesn't bother you and your feel awesome but am wondering if there is an end point to the issues.
I also you see that you've been looking at Dr Mascaro in DelRay (would be a nice place for surgical recovery :) Are you considering him for some future procedure? Have a great week end grace

Grace60, I thank you for the Q. I'm a very honest person and I felt that it is my responsibility to keep it real. I also don't think it is the doctor responsibility to inform me how will I feel at one month mark. First, because until you have done this procedure you can't know how it feels. Secondly I think I'm responsible to research before I enter his office and ask him for it. That's why I admire you for doing your homework. I mean he did exactly what I asked for. I love what Dr Horowitz did. I just wanted to warn girls that this procedure doesn't feel as natural as other girls described to be. I'm very conscious when I eat in public to take smaller bites that won't require much movement of the mouth. Also I can't drink a bear from the bottle. Or from Starbucks coffe mug. Indeed it doesn't bother me much, because the joy of having pouty lips is bigger than any of this. For now, I'm not considering having any revision or extra surgeries. I feel complet and beautiful just the way I am now. I'm very happy with my lips. No regret

Hi Meg, I wish I knew . Definitely for me there are few things that I do it different. Even the way I rub my lips after applying lipstick, changed. Or the way I slurp spaghetti. I'm just honest. This is how I feel. It doesn't bother me much , because I enjoy the compliments. I think I knew those thing before regardless.
I alao had permlip done by the wonder dr horowitz and i think you look womderful i absolutely love my lips i hope to see him soon for more work
Yyyaaaaayyyy Cyndi, isn't he awesome and caring? He did his best to keep me pain free during the procedure. I do love mine too. Some days, not that much but I think I'm still recovering? I have difficulty drinking and eating still but will not change my implants for nothing in this world. I remember I was 22 when I first looked into lip augmentation. However that time I was young and cute and that doctor didn't alter my lips. Dr H did an amazing job for a fraction of cost. Migh God Bless his heart.
Hi I have been reading your feed because am interested in how your feeling since I am too considering going to same Dr. for lip implants. I have had an injury on or side of my mouth which gives me a feeling I have something In my lip already. Do you think your drinking and eating issue will go away? I really would like to get it done by him. Did you ask for smalller implant or did he recommend what he thought was right for you? Do you feel that you still need fillers in your lips or no? Are you still happy you had the procedure given everything. Any honest feedback is greatly appreciated!
I'll note that I had an injury on one side that had been surgically fixed many many years ago. Like, 30 years ago, but the scar tissue was still there. It created a big problem for the tunneling. My swelling was huge because of the scar tissue. Just be aware that could happen if you have an old injury.

can you share your thoughts on the lip lift too I believe I need one thank you
Judging from your review pictures, I do believe you'll benefit from a lift . Just find the perfect doctor for you. There are plenty wonderful doctors you can choose from. The most important is to be good to for you. Email couple of them, send pictures and based on your gut feeling when you first read their answer, that's the one you pick. That's in case you have money. If your budget is limited, choose one that match that. It is a easy-pizy surgery. No pain, just a week to get out the sutures. Do not rush. Limit your mouth movement(excellent to get a week vacation). Now, if you do the liplift, make sure you'll increase the volume of the lower lip for esthetic. Hope this helped

I still think your upper eyes look great in all pictures. Did you have the brow and lip lift done at the same time or in stages. I assume they were all by the same Virginia PS. Thanks for all your info on this site.
You're correct. Same surgeon did my brow lift, blepharoplasty and lip lift on the same visit.
