1 Year Post

So I just passed the 1-year mark and nothing has improved, unfortunately. The scaring is still very noticeable and the breathing issues are still present, not to mention all of the other things that are wrong. I definitely will need a revision to correct those things and the overall look of my nose. I've consulted with several doctors over the past few months and have decided to wait until next year to move forward with a revision. I want to ensure that the majority of the swelling has gone down before I do anything else. This whole thing has been a rollercoaster and I wish a million times I had gone with another surgeon and this was a one and done type of situation. Since this is not my case I am being as careful as humanly possible this time around and leaving no stone unturned in selecting a revision surgeon. Thanks, everyone for all of the feedback and assistance during this past year, it has definitely been a horrible yet interesting experience...I've learned so much.

Last Post

So this will likely be my final post to this particular review. I am moving on now and searching for a revision doctor and will start a new post about that journey. I am 7 months post now and there really isn't much left to say about this doctor or this experience. So now it's on to better things :-)

Found ANOTHER Issue

So as I was cleaning my right nostril I've found yet another issue. The inside of my right nostril at the top where the columella and the tip connect is bulging on the inside corner. There is something hard (I assume it's cartilage from where he tried to refine my tip) there and pressing on the corner. It's tender to the touch and I am basically always aware of it now as it hurts a little. I feel like this is something new as I never noticed it before. It isn't visible from the outside of my nose.....thank goodness, but it's yet another issue in a sea of issues.

I'm very disappointed in my results with Dr. Janjua. I have multiple issues from having an alarplasty and tip work with him. I have terrible scarring, bumpiness, and small holes where the sutures were on BOTH sides of my nose. I can't leave the house without ample makeup on as the scars are very visible. My nose was not brought in the amount that we agreed upon, it still spreads wide when I smile. My tip is under projected and almost totally flattens out and collapses when I smile. I have lingering breathing issues, particularly in my left nostril. I am a very athletic person and cannot breathe properly anymore during workouts and even notice it when I am not working out. My nose itches like mad on both the inside and outside where the sutures were. I think this is delayed healing, as I had A LOT of issues with the sutures on both sides of my nose from the very start. I ended up with more issues after the surgery than I had before. Dr. Janjua is a nice person, but to be frank, I would prefer someone arrogant and rude and end up with fantastic results at the end of the day. These are solely my opinions and my experiences. I gave the process an entire 6 months to see if anything would drastically improve and unfortunately it has not.
