UPDATED FROM A 2nd chance

2 1/2 week update
Last week was really tough. My legs were very sore and I returned to work on Monday. I was really regretting my procedure. This week I do finally see improvement. I also have very little discomfort. All of the areas still feel strangely numb. Like you just left the dentist. And itchy. And I can't wait to throw this compression garmet in the trash!!! My ps requires you wear it for 23 hrs a day for 6 weeks. :( I haven't seen any change in the scale. I know that he only removed 4 lbs, but I still weigh the same as I did before the procedure. I know I'm complaining a lot and sound really negative, but recovery is tough. I'm trying to keep positive and believw I will be satisfied with the end results.

Hope you are feeling better. I have my preop tomorrow. Reading about these rough recoverys is making me nervous!

I know recovery for everyone is different. I didn't mean to discourage anyone, but there are definitely some inconviences you have to deal with. Week 1 & 2 were tough. And I think the fact that it was the busy holidays made it worse.

My 6 week visit was last Thursday. And I'm a little disappointed. I have a strange swollen spot near my right hip in the pelvic area. The dr said it could be a pocket of fluid or swelling and we need to allow more time to see what it will do. It shows when I wear thin clothing now that I am free from the cg. This Sunday I wanted to wear a knit dress to church and it was visible. He said if it doesn't go down he can go back and redo that area, but that's not really something I want to do again. I'm still having numbness and tingling in the lipo areas. My husband insists that I look great. And that my waist is much more defined. I wanted to feel pretty and confident, but I don't because of this weird spot. I will try to post a pic of it today.

He said it would go away like everything else. I have the numbness and a severe burning sensation. I just wasn't expecting it to be like this. He says everyone heals differently and everything should calm down by 3 months, but I'm worried. I actually scheduled a lymphatic massage for next week to see if that would help.

That's a good idea. Let me know how it goes. I'm going to try that too.

I was able to get worked in for a lymphatic massage yesterday. I lost 2.5 lbs over night. I think it REALLY helped. I booked a follow-up for next Thursday. Let me know how you feel after yours.

She only used her hands. The swollen spot just feels fleshy, but it had a distinct border. The left side of my abdomen is flat. I'm really worried that it won't go away on its own and I will a. Have to have lipo again or b. Have a deformity forever.

I just started using arnica gel today. I didn't know about it before and I can't get the pills where I live. Traffic is too bad to try to go to the next town and find some on Christmas eve.
