I am on day 3 of recovery. I had lipo on my abdomen, flanks, inner and back thighs. My dr said she removed 4lbs of fat. After having my last baby at 37 and a hysterectomy at 38 I felt like my body was working against me. No matter how little I ate or how much I exercised nothing changed. I felt like I needed to cover my midsection all the time especially sitting bc the fat would bulge up above and below my belt. My dr requires that I wear a compression garmet 24/7 the week after surgery, so I haven't seen my body yet. But I can tell that the shape has changed.
My surgery was scheduled for 730am. I have no memory of recovery, but my husband says we were home by 1130-12. I stayed in bed most of that day and slept off the anesthesia. When I did need to get up I needed assistance and felt dizzy. Also on the first night I vomited and had trouble urinating. My vagina area was so swollen it was unrecognizable. I'm pretty sure my husband was traumatized. Lol. The compression garmet is crotchless.
Day 2 I felt better. My thighs are the most sensitive. The tummy area feels pretty numb to the touch. I was able to stand and walk alone today. I still took my pain medication on schedule. And I'm taking an antibiotic.
Day 3. I think the pain medication that is used under the skin has worn off because I had a lot of burning sensations in my tummy today. I went to a local salon and had my hair washed. I've been using wiped on my body. My mobility is increasing and in getting really anxious to see what's below the garmet.
On a side note I have had THE WORST hay fever ever upon returning home from surgery. I have sneezed non-stop and gobe through 2 boxes of Kleenex. Sneezing is no fun after lipo...
I will get my before pics from my dr and add them ASAP

Thank you for your post. I'm scheduled for surgery march 5. I'm having a bbl with lipo on my back, flanks, inner thighs, abdomen and possibly my pubic area and arms. Please keep me posted on your recovery. I'm starting to get nervous. Hope you are feeling better every day

I forgot to specify that asked for lipo in the pubic area too. I felt like it had changed shape after my last baby. I'm feeling better everyday. But it seems like the aches are going to stay a while. It seems like most of the discomfort is now over boney areas like my hips and ribs.

Day 5 update
A 2nd chanceDecember 23, 2014
My 1 week visit would have fallen on Christmas Day, so I was supposed to go tomorrow for my first post surgery visit. The dr office just called and asked me to come in today because I was the only patient scheduled for tomorrow. I'm so excited to see everything. I will hopefully be posting some photos this afternoon.

Your recovery sounds almost exactly like mine...lol. I haven't been taking my pain meds. Thighs hurt the most but I was prepared for that. My arms are not as sensitive.

I can't even imagine! How annoying that it is so bad right now- Murphy's Law I guess.
