Provider Review
I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kim for restoring my breathing. I had a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim about 4.5 weeks ago and he has exceeded all of my expectations about what could be achieved. His office staff is amazing, especially Amy, his patient care coordinator. I had a rhinoplasty at age 16 (25 years ago) and it has been the biggest regret of my life. Over time, my nose started to collapse and I could only get a little bit of air through my nose. 12 years ago, my tip cartilage actually came through my skin and I had a minor surgery to fix that. My nose has given my a lot of sadness because I originally had a nice nose. My mom had her nose fixed so I think I thought that is just what I should do and my parents let me. If anyone is considering fixing a teenage nose, I would definitely ask a lot of questions and go to Dr. Kim so it is done right the first time. I knew I wanted to fix my nose for the past 10 years, but it wasn't until my breathing got extremely compromised that I knew it was something that I had to do to feel better. I researched surgeons for over 2 years, I decided to go to Dr. Kim and I am so glad that he is the surgeon that I chose. My surgery was 6 hours. Dr Kim restored the structure to my nose and now I have a normal looking(not pinched and collapsing), working nose. I am still swollen and people tell me I look the same. I think that attests to the wonderful work that Dr. Kim does. The recovery was a bit rough for me. I don't think it had anything to do with the surgery, but more with the medications and anesthesia. I am pretty sensitive to medication. There was no pain in my nose and some burning pain in my ear (I had grafts taken from ear cartilage), but it was very manageable. Amy was phenomenal during my recovery time. She answered my questions and gave me so much support while I was in a delirious state. Once I was off of the narcotics, I felt much better. I highly recommend Dr. Kim and wish that I had done this years ago. Being able to breathe out of my nose again has been life changing. I know Dr. Kim is the BEST!!
