Countdown for TT is On! - Barrie, ON

Holy crap did that time fly by! And what a journey it has been!!! I've spent a lot of time the last six weeks reading so many reviews and updates and looking at pictures and connecting with women from all over! It is without question that these women are capable of incredible inner strength! We have offered each other kind words, wisdom from personal experience, support to those in times of struggle and laughter from the many lighthearted jokes! We realize that doing something for ourselves is not a selfish act but a chance to enrich our lives, and feel good inside and out! And to the bizzare nightmares from the medicine, to the sensation of my guts wanting to fall out, to the crazy sleeping methods, to the battling of swell hell, to the agonizing back ache, to the dizzy spells, to the lack of breath and energy, to the longing of clean hair, to the tummy spasms, to walking hunchback, to the tender abs, to the backing up of the bowel system, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!! It was and is all worth it!!! And I could not and would not do it without the friends of Realself! What a great group of ladies! Im still recovering! still not cometely straight and still wear my binder during the day, oh and i still swell, but im ok with this. it will get better! And lastly, I am so pleased with my incision and my overall tummy! It no longer looks like I am constantly bloated! And my incision is incredibly thin!!!!!! Thank you Dr Dickie! Good luck to everyone yet to go for their TT! You will do just fine! And happy, speedy healing to those on the journey to recovery. :)

Centre of tummy is still numb. Not sure how long that will last but I do NOT like it when anything touches that area. It doesn't hurt at all, just feels really really weird!!!!

I'm feeling grrrreat today!!! Still not cometely straight but I do not care cause I'm looking and feeling great with my new TT!!!! :) incision looks fabulous!! Just a fine line and its getting smoother all the time! I'm now back on track with my green spinach smoothies which I love!!! Now all I need to do is go back to the gym.....soon though! There was a time when I said to myself "what the hell did I do this for"? But it was all worth it!!! So excited for my new tummy! Now I just have to wait for swelling to go down! Time and patience!
