Destination Beauty at your own risk
I spent over 2 years talking to a rep at Destination Beauty before deciding to go through with my surgery, I had a full facelift, neck lift, and direct brow lift, in that 2 years whenever I emailed them they responded right away, once I got there everything was great up until I had made my payment, then I could no longer get any response or help from them. I was given about 30 pages of consent forms to sign as I was lying on moving trolley waiting to go into surgery, I had no chance to read them but I had been at the Hospital since 10:30 am and my surgery was not until 9:00 pm. I woke up in ICU I needed to pee and kept calling out to the nurse who I could see outside my room, but they just ignored me, I also needed my medication as I have been taking it for over 30 years and I was having withdrawals, I ended up having to bang on the side of the bed with a bedpan to get someones attention, an orderly finally came in and I asked him to please go get my medication, I gave him my room number but never saw him again, finally a nurse came in and I told her i had to pee and she said that I had a catheter in and I should not feel the need to pee, so I ended up wetting the bed as the catheter was not in properly and I finally got my medication. I was moved to my hospital room where they kept trying to feed me normal food, I could not open my mouth due to swelling and kept asking for a liquid meal replacement but they did not understand English, finally a nurse who spoke English came in and she bought me Ensure, I asked her to check that it did not have any artificial sweeteners as I am allergic to them, she said no it was normal sugar. Well I had a severe allergic reaction as there was sucrose in it, I kept asking for a nurse from Destination Beauty as their office is just downstairs, and I emailed my rep many times but got no response. I was sent back to the resort and I struggled to eat as the resort has no restaurants or room service and I was too weak and disorientated to go out myself. When I finally met up with other people who were there I heard very similar complaints, only 1 person out of about 20 was happy with the way Destination Beauty had treated them. I also discovered that all my money had been stolen whilst I was in the hospital. I was unable to see for 5 days after surgery due to reaction to Ensure and felt totally alone as Jeezy my rep was just ignoring me, the nurse came to visit and she heard what had happened and quickly ordered me some food. I was unable to call any of the numbers Destination beauty had given me in case i needed any help, the recording said that all numbers do not exist and when I finally saw Jeezy she told me that you can only ring those numbers from Australia!! When my sister complained on their Facebook page they quickly called me to find out what was wrong and then all the staff who had previously been very nice to me became rude, they are all linked ,Destination Beauty, The Somerset resort, and the Hospital. I was very glad to get out of Bangkok and can only say if you decide to Bangkok for surgery don"t go alone as you will need someone to care for you, the resort is fine and they serve breakfast, but they do not have room service, if not for the nurse and one nice doorman I would not have had any food other than breakfast, you can upgrade to a better hotel but this option was not offered to me I found out from another client who was staying at The Oakes resort.
I think the Doctor did a good job and I was able to do all my own aftercare because I had worked with Plastic Surgeons before so I had no complications.

Having experienced such a traumatic and life changing event myself I decided I needed to use this to help others.
Regardless of all the warnings and story's I had both heard and read I decided to fly over too Bangkok in may of 2019 and trust the promise made to me that all would be well and I would be taken care of.
I had mid face and neck lift with upper and lower eye lift surgery in May of 2019. I was seen by Dr Narongdej Jiarapeepan at Samitiej Thornburi Hospital the day before my surgery for my pre opp consultation. I never forget that day and have so many regrets because of the red flag I had seen but never acted on. He smelled of alcohol and his hands shook uncontrollably as he marked my face to show me where the incision lines would be. And although I went to see Mira from Destination Beauty afterwards with my concerns, She had reassured me that He was a good doctor and not to worry because on the day of surgery he would be fine. I trusted this and reasoned in my mind that if he was not good ,he would not be one of their top and leading surgeons. The next day I went in to have my surgery and then taken to my room to recover for a day. I was then driven back to the hotel and left alone to continue to recover. I was in pain, afraid and alone and knew no one there. My face continued to swell beyond anything I had seen or imagine, leading to the stitching behind my right ear coming undone and causing an infection requiring daily visits to the hospital for cleaning. My lower left eye drooped down looking like a stroke victim only to find out later it was a complication known as ectropion caused by to much skin being cut away from under the eye. My ears where both stitched to my face with no separation leaving me with pixy ears and my face looking uneven. And although I was told it would eventually even out as the swelling reduced it remains uneven to this day. And requires regular filler in order to balance it out. Although I had already accepted before hand that complications are a risk with any surgery and went ahead in good faith trusting in their promise to care and make sure I was happy with my results. I was not prepared for was what they would put me through and allow me to endure should complications arise. And the added emotional and financial cost of needing to stay longer in Thailand. All in the name of greed and "MONEY " not morality
Fast forward after many emails and conversations with Destination Beauty addressing both my physical concerns and emotional distress, and no real resolution I decided enough was enough, and with a medical report supplied by a Sydney plastic surgeon along with images of the first stage of correction surgery preformed by Him I officially lodged a complaint with Destination Beauty.
Then on the 4th May 2021 accountability was finally acknowledged by Destination Beauty with one major problem, the resolution proved to be less about doing the right thing and seeking to rectify the problems and more about avoidance of cost to them. The Destination Beauty Board. had decided to do the revision surgery in Bangkok, whilst there is currently an international travel ban in place in Australia, rather than taking the simplest and logical solution of proceeding with revision surgery from their Sydney Branch ?????
And not only that but if I was able to get a travel exception, to fly out to Bangkok in the first place ,then I would also need to come up with thousands of dollars to cover the cost of the following
return flights from Sydney to Bangkok
Quarantine on arrival in Thailand
Anethetist fees
Accommodation whilst recovering in Thailand
Quarantine on return to Sydney
Which I worked out at an estimated total cost to me of around $7,000 to $8,000 plus.
Whist all this could be avoided by simply sending me to their newly opened Destination Beauty Branch in Sydney.
DON'T, DON'T DON'T USE DESTINATION BEAUTY ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
