Five weeks and one day past my MM, and I am completely thrilled with the results. As others have written, this is much more than a simple physical change. I don't think even I realized the effort it energy I put into hiding my body. Even being slim and fit didn't spare me from the embarrassment of having large breasts that hung down almost to my waist and a pronounced tummy flap. Even with my fiancé, who supported my decision but had no personal wish for my body to change, I would always make sure my belly flap was "covered". Now I can be naked and truly enjoy his immediate response...and then my own. That change is profound, and priceless! To say I'm happy I did this would be an extreme understatement. I cannot "encourage" others to have the surgery - it took a long time for me to be ready to make this decision, and it would have been a mistake to make it sooner. But for those of you who feel ready, I can almost promise you won't regret it ultimately. It isn't easy the first couple of weeks - I questioned my sanity frequently during that period. ???? But the ultimate results...WOW!!

I have been very impressed with Dr. Cohen and all the staff at Belecara. He has answered all my questions thoroughly, and listened patiently to my concerns. I opted to have my surgery at the center, and am very glad I did. They use only board certified anesthesiologists, and there is a significantly lower risk of infection. My only small nit was the nurse's three failed attempts to get the IV in my hand. But the anesthesiologist quickly took over, and got it in successfully. The nurse was so deeply apologetic, I ended up trying to make her feel better. Everyone at Belecara has been appropriate, supportive and affable. I am confident Dr. Cohen and Belecara have earned their fine reputation.
