I have been observing this site for months now, and everyone's personal experiences have been such an encouragement to me. Scheduled for a MM on May 22nd! I just had my consultation with Dr. Cohen last week and secured my deposit for my surgery date. His patient reviews and bedside manner make me feel completely comfortable in my choice so far! Will be getting a full TT with minor muscle repair and a BA (325 CC HP but that's debatable.. I can't make up my mind). No lipo. I am 5 ft tall, 98 lbs for reference. I'm at an ideal weight, but I have ridiculous amounts of skin on my stomach that makes that area of my body look like it's 60 years older than the rest of me, and it has got to go. Bye Felicia. My boobs are also in need of some serious lovin, as you can see in my before photos. I'm a 32A right now, and they are beyond flat.
I've had a c section (with my youngest) so I am prepping myself for a comparable recovery to that. So far, I've projected 10 days off from work.

My urgency date with Dr. Cohen is March 26th for my mommy makeover. I'm excited and nervous and will keep you updated!

I'll have to make sure to keep myself posted on your progress as I'll be right behind you. I think we've made the best choice in surgeon possible in the area. I researched cosmetic surgeons for 18 months before I scheduled my consultation, so I'm feeling really confident with him.

Sorry! Surgery date!

I was referred to him by my trainer and classmate. I have a consultation in a couple of weeks.

You'll really like him, I'm sure! He was very knowledgable and he has a gentle disposition. He's straight to the point but makes you feel comfortable.

So glad you are here sharing your story! Here are some pre- and post-op tips for you. Do you have someone to take care of you and your kids while you recover?

February 24, 2015
I do, thank you so much for asking! My husband has been very supportive. Don't get me wrong; he has regular heart attacks when he thinks about the amount of money we're throwing down. But he will be there to care for me during the first rough weeks.

I've had 2 surgeries with Dr. Cohen. I had a breast lift with augmentation in July and then, unfortunately, I needed a revision so I had that done January 30th. Feel free to message me any questions!

The time off debate!

Clipse26
I'm really starting to second guess myself on whether or not my slotted time off is enough for this procedure. The more reviews I read, the more I feel like no one seems to be in a state to go back to work at day 10. I currently only have 10 days approved. My job knows that I am going in for surgery and need those days to recover, but I didn't tell them why exactly. It's a high stress job. I didn't think they'd necessarily give me an approval if I told them what it was for. Judge me if you must.
It's pretty sedentary. I'm at a desk for the majority of the day, but I do have to get up and run around to different areas in the building multiple times a day.
Anyone want to chime in here? Maybe someone who's already gone through the surgery? I'm feeling like I won't be enough on my A game to get up, get 3 kids ready and off to daycare, and then work a full day that soon after Pah-leaseee someone just tell me to shut up and that I'm worrying for nothing, so that I don't have to make my poor husband miserable debating it over and over. I think it's safe to say he would really appreciate it! Haha

I wish I could give you some advice but I haven't gone through it yet. My surgery is March 10. I am in college taking four classes. My classes are 3 days a week. I will have a full 12 days off before I go back to school, and at that time, my husband will be driving me and carrying my books (so thankful for that!). He is in college as well, so we are fortunate enough that he is able to do his work and studying while I'm in class. My class times are only 9-12 MF and 9-12/1:30-3:30 W, so other than Wednesdays my days will not be very long. I am also a CNA home health aid and my patient is a stroke victim whom is paralyzed on his left side. All I have to do is help him get up and down and help him with getting dressed. I have taken off from that job until April 7. I also have a second job at a health food store where I work maybe once a week now. I may try to go work there a couple days a week the week that I go back to classes until I start my nurses aid job again. Depends on how well I handle school and how I do with swelling. Hope this helps at least a little!

By day 10 you should be off narcotics so can drive safely and also be feeling much better. I haven't had surgery yet either but from what I have gathered from others, you might want to tell your employer that you may need to see how it goes that first week back and be prepared to leave early. Fatigue can come on quickly and shut you down. Having said that, if you are living a healthy lifestyle with good eating habits and good sweaty exercise ;) people have recovered their stamina faster. Either way, you will have peace of mind being frank with your boss about possible set backs and solutions that first week. Like you, I haven't been telling people exactly what I'm doing, just part of what I'm doing. Since the TT is the longest part of recovery, I have said I'm having abdominal surgery to repair some post pregnancy trauma. Almost everyone nods and drops the topic after that....especially men. If they ask more questions, I drop the word "Herniated muscle" and they shut up. Try that!

I am 36 yrs old, 5 kids and am almost 3 weeks post op from a full tummy tuck, breast lift, & augmentation. I would read my reviews, I'm pretty honest. I didn't get my drains removed from my TT until one on day 9 & the other drain on day 10. I would say I was feeling capable of working

On day 12. I think you would be ok on day 10 if you do not have drains at that point. You would feel better by day 12 & great around day 14. Feel free to let me know if u have any other questions

As you can see I've been on this site for years at this point. I originally intended to have a breast augmentation and a partial tummy tuck done back in 2015 with a different doctor, but between work and feelings or anxiety at the time, I cancelled it a month prior.

Now I'm back in the game. I've spent the last few years working on my overall health and fitness and living a better lifestyle, and because of that, my stomach isn't something that bothers me anymore, and I'm comfortable with the way it looks. So this time around, I'm scheduled for a breast augmentation only.

No anxiety so far this time. I really love the surgeon I've chosen to go forward with. He puts me at ease, has impeccable bedside manner, and he's patient enough to answer all of my questions, regardless of how trivial or time consuming they may be.

We've chosen to go forward with silicone gel implants 375cc partially under the muscle. For reference to anyone reading this, I'm not necessarily looking for the "[RS bleep] star" look of implants, but I'm NOT looking for a natural look either. I personally find fake boobs aesthetically appealing, and that's my intention, so keep that in mind when considering my stats.

Today I am 48 hours away from surgery! Just picked up my PLETHORA of prescriptions for after I'm home and recovering, and I began taking the anti bruising medication as well, as instructed by the PA. On Friday I made the final payment to the hospital that my PA will be operating in, so I am officially completely paid, cleared, and prepped. I didn't want to make any posts prior to this, because I was anxious something would come up in the course of planning that would prevent me from being able to follow through with this surgery BUT I think it's pretty safe to say, come Tuesday I'm finally going to have some big boobs!
