I've suffered from gynecomastia since puberty. It took me until the age of 28 to finally do something about it. I met with Dr. Schuster and felt that he was able to provide the best solution to my problem. His technique when it comes to gynecomastia correction (lateral pull-through technique) greatly interested me. I discovered through research that this method could be less risky and equally effective when compared to other traditional surgical techniques.

The surgery went great. Everybody at Northwest Hospital made me feel very comfortable. It was my first time being put under for anything and I made no secret of my fear however it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience considering the situation. The nurses were great! I'm definitely not afraid of the thought of surgery anymore. It was also nice of Dr. Schuster to call me later that evening to make sure I was doing good.

A few days after my surgery, I was able to take off the compression vest and get a glimpse at the results. Even with some minor bruising and swelling, I was amazed at the appearance of my chest! The improvement was immediate. The hardest part now is just waiting for the final result as it will be months before I'm fully recovered.

My only regret is not doing this sooner. Dr. Schuster is the man. I no longer have to worry when I'm shopping if a certain shirt will make my chest look awful. The beach is going to be much better this summer.

Thank you for sharing your journey. Today is my 3 week mark since my surgery. I am very happy with my results... Still swollen, but each day is better! Do you have before and after pictures to share? Congrats on the surgery and best of luck with healing!

I'm 10 months post-op, looking great, and FEELING even better! As bad as it is while you have it, you really don't realize how much stress gynecomastia causes you until it's gone.
-I no longer have to think about what shirt I'm going to buy or wear (which is a daily decision.) So long mostly dark colors and graphic t-shirts! Goodbye minute-by-minute adjusting of the wrinkles in the fabric covering my chest.
- I wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and no longer feel disgusted.
- I finally resemble somebody who actually looks like he spends a great portion of his time exercising and valuing his health. It sucked putting so much work in and not having the body to show for it.
- Second thoughts taking off my shirt outside or at the beach? NONE!
- I feel amazing.
The list goes on and on. Liberated, confident, happy; these are just a few words out of many that describe how I feel now.

Wow! I'm currently trying to get down to my desired weight & body fat %, once I arrive at my goal of 165lbs & 15% body fat, I will decide to move fwd with surgery. I'm 5'6" @ 192lbs & 30% body fat.

You have the best results I've ever seen! What is the lateral pull through? Did they cut around the nipple?

Thank you. Good luck with your journey. Getting your body fat percentage down will give you a better understanding of how much glandular vs. subcutaneous fat you have and will also lead to improved long term results. The lateral pull-through involves a small incision on the side of the chest as opposed to cutting around the nipple. A minimal scar is left barely visible, disguised by the contour of your chest and arm.

Great results! Liberated sounds like the right word choice.

Awesome post, man. I'm so happy for you and your new found liberty! I had a procedure done three years ago (incision under areola and gland removed), but am not thrilled with the result. I think the doc should have done lipo in conjunction with gland removal. So like you before, no matter that I have like ~10% body fat and workout constantly, I have stubborn chesticles. I've decided to consult with Dr. Schuster as I've read numerous great reviews on here about him. Best of luck!
