I must say that my recovery has been frustrating at times because the tip of my nose took quite some time to show the definition I was looking for. The worst part is always early in the morning when I get outta bed. My nose always looked bulbous for at least an hour or more. It's getting much better now. I followed the doctor's advice and waited patiently until my 6 month mark. I can finally say the wait is over, and it was well worth it. Hopefully it will keep looking better.

Looking better
The swelling has gone down quite a bit in the last 24hrs. I'm starting to like what I see.

I had my surgery about the same time you had yours. Is there anything you're doing that might have helped the swelling. Mine is still swollen
Don't neglect drinking water, I recommend distilled water. It is more alkaline and helps to drain out obsolete minerals from your body. I eat lots of pineaple and other fruits and vegetables. I also walk about 2 miles per day to get that blood circulation going. You may want to get informed on alkaline foods and their benefits. http://*****************
Thank you so much for the tips! You'll definitely look into them. Have you started breathing through your nose? My nose still feels blocked. Wish you speedy recovery
Actually, I never really had any problem breathing through my nose. Mind you that I didn't have any bone broken because no work was done on my bridge. Only my tip was redefined with added support using radiated cartilage. That may explain my rapid recovery.
How are you feeling lately? Your nose looks good so far.
Surgery is pretty emotional. It is nice to find some support here, and tactless comments are inappropriate. That being said, the price seems a bit hefty for tip work, even with cartilage. It is annoying how much higher some surgeons charge patients once they have had a first procedure. Hope you grow to like your new nose even better. For us thick skinned patients, sometimes more than one procedure is needed to get us where we want.
You are also entitled to your opinion. It is possible to discuss costs without making comments about "worthlessness". I just went through surgery myself and recovery is pretty emotional, even when one has great results. Just be mindful of that.
Here's the breakdown of the surgery cost: The rhinoplasty itself was 9,050.00$
Operating room with anesthesia: 2,493$. Radiated rib: 700$, for a total of 12,243$

Dr B is getting super expensive eeek! We decided on cartilage graft at the last minute for some bridge work. I was concerned this would come to an extra cost but my surgeon said it would be free. Go figure...
Revision rhinoplasty from a new doctor are usually more expensive though.
From what I've seen, revision rhinoplasty is always about 2,000$ more than primary surgery. How much have you paid for yours?
Looking good so far. Can you please let's us see some more pics. I went for my consultation with hi but I am still scared
How's the recovery going? Hope it's going well....

Shrek nose
My nose is ridiculously swollen. I know a lot of work was done on the tip and I was told to expect this, but now I have to stay hidden from view as much as possible for the next few months. What a shame.

Lol it will get better no worries. Sleep with your head elevated. Avoid salty food. Happy healing.
The more thick-skinned patient pics I see, the easier it gets to imagine what noses will look like once swelling diminishes. I get the sense you (like the poster Ebony) will likely have a good outcome, assuming healing process goes as expected : )
Fingers crossed on that one!
