If I Knew What I Knew Now I Would Choose Another Doctor.
Fast forward to the day of surgery. For whatever reason, my arms were lipo’d, but the excess skin was not removed and while there are improvements to my back, there is so much loose skin that remains that I need to get a second back lift and additional skin removed from my torso as well.
My post-op appointment was very rushed and he even cut my nipple with scissors while trimming excess sutures before running off to the next person. He did say that I would have to get another back lift and obviously get my arm lift at another time because he made the skin more loose than pre-op.
I am 6 months post-op. I texted the office about a revision. They initially refused. Eventually they came back and said they would do it as long as I signed an agreement to not disparage them online. I consulted with Dr. Askari and they emailed a quote. The quote was not the cost of a revision, but full price. It’s really unfortunate that after spending almost $20k on failed procedures, they now want me to spend an extra $12k to redo the surgeries that I have already paid for. While there is a cost associated with going into the OR, this is not usually how revisions prices work and that is evidenced by quotes that others have received from them and my experiences with other surgeons.

Hello BBLDec2015. Thank you for your review. Due to your past complicated medical history, you are considered high risk. You initially had multiple combination procedures planned to be done at once. Dr. Askari always puts patients safety first ahead of financial gain. So when the decision was to not perform one of the originally planned procedures to limit your risk, the procedure was fully refunded. we understand this decision was very disappointing to you. However, we put your safety first. You were also fully refunded for what was not done eventhough you did not ask for a refund. Therefore, your total spend was not $20K but significantly less. If you cared to post your before and after photos, the viewers can judge for themselves how much aesthetic improvement you have had from prior to surgery to now. both front and on your back. You had treated our office staff with less respect than was offered to you. So we did not want to take your case back again initially as we reserve the right to keep a healthy work environment for our team. But since you plead your case that you appreciate our team and Dr. Askari, we provided the best pricing that was possible for us. We apologize that pricing did not meet your expectations. However, we had hoped your disappointment did not turn into retaliation with Bad reviews. We stand ready to assist you and all of our patients as long as mutual respect is sustained. Thank you again.
