AVICLEAR FAILED , Acne Far Worse Now !!
I have suffered with acne since my teenage years, from around the age of 14 through to 21. Over the years, I tried everything from antibiotics, topical creams and contraceptives, with very little success. Eventually, I was prescribed isotretinoin, which worked extremely well for me and kept my acne under control for around eight years.
Unfortunately, my acne relapsed after pregnancy and breastfeeding. I went to Zenith and, following Dr Maini’s advice, decided to have AviClear treatment. I paid £2,850 for the treatment, hoping it would provide a long-term solution.
Initially, the treatment seemed to help and kept my acne under control for around three months. However, my acne then returned, and unfortunately it came back much more severely. When I started AviClear, I had around 3–4 spots at most. I now have around 15 large, painful cystic spots, and my acne is significantly worse than it was when I initially decided to have the treatment.
I want to make it clear that this review is specifically about my experience with AviClear. Dr Maini himself was extremely professional, kind and reassuring, and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. The clinic and staff were also amazing throughout the process, and I would happily return to Dr Maini for other treatments.
However, unfortunately, AviClear did not work for me. In my experience, it only kept my acne under control temporarily, and my acne subsequently returned much more aggressively. I genuinely regret spending £2,850 on the treatment, particularly given how much worse my skin is now.
I am currently on the NHS waiting list to see a consultant dermatologist, where I hope to discuss whether I can go back on isotretinoin, as that was the only treatment that previously gave me long-lasting results.
I wanted to share my honest experience because I think it is important for anyone considering AviClear to understand that, unfortunately, it does not work for everyone. For me personally, the results were disappointing and the treatment did not provide the outcome I had hoped for.
