Hello Ladies...Today is Thursday November 6th,...
Hello Ladies...Today is Thursday November 6th, 2014. I decided to write my review/journey closer to the day of my procedure so that you guys could see results/pictures as well as my review. I am 5"6", currently weigh 175 pounds, 43 years old mother of two boys and was recently diagnost with Pre-diabeties. I am currently getting ready for my 2pm pre-appointment at Dr. Salama's office to have a Tummy Tuck tomorrow.
Ok, I'm here at my appointment filling out my paperwork and the only thing that concerns me is the fact that he doesn't have medical malpractice insurance. It states that generally physicians have to carry medical malpractice insurance in Florida or demonstrate financial responsibility to cover potential claims for Medical Malpractice. So I guest he's covered financially if anything was to occur.
Day of Surgery: November 7th, 2914. It is currently 11:08 am and I'm scheduled to be at Dr. SALAMA'S surgery center at 12pm. I'm getting a little nervous and anxious at the same time. I have taken some before pics and will take some after pics upon my return to the hotel. BTW...... I am staying at the Crowne Plaza on South Ocean Drive on Hallendale Beach, which is right across from the surgery center where Dr. Salama perform the actual procedure. So keep this in mind when booking your trip. GREAT place :-).....
After arriving to the surgery center Dr. Salama's assistant placed me in a room to wait on the Anesthesiologist and Dr. Salama to arrive. Soon after being placed in an exam room the anesthesiologist came in and explainef what he will be doing during my procedure. After speaking with the anesthesiologist Dr. Salama came in and outlined my stomach for surgery. He explained that the surgery will take about 2 hours and I would be spending approximately 2 hours in recovery before going home. After the anesthesiologist inserted the IV in my arm and administered the meds I remember saying the Our Fathers Prayer and began counting backwards from 100 (in my mind) and I remember getting to 84 before I became unconscious.
Next thing I remember is being woke up and wheeled out to my car where my husband was waiting, which was around 5:30pm.
Day 1-Friday
The pain was a 7 on a scale of 1-10. It wasn't so much the cut....but the burning sensation from the liposuction of the flanks and the discomfort from the muscle tightening. I managed the pain with some pain medication prescribed by Dr. Salama office.
Day 2-Saturday
I returned to Dr. Salama's office for a follow-up. Once I arrived Dr. Salama checked my incision, drains and gave me a few instructions on what do for the next few days until my next appointment "which would be in 4 days on one Wednesday".
Day 3-Sunday
Today was a little ruff. Very uncomfortable all day. Stomach was tightening up as though it was gonna explode. Flanks were sore as hell with and burning sensation.
Day 4-Monday
Today was a good day. Did lots of walking up and down the hall at the hotel. Even went to Walmart "which is located right behind the hotel".
Day 5 -Tuesday
Today was great. ....but could feel muscle tightening in my stomach. I could feel myself getting around much better. I didn't take any prescription pain medication today.......decided to take Aleve instead. They nurses had asndlready warn me that the pain med could constipate me. So I wanted to be off of the as quick as possible.
Day 6-Wednesday
Awesome day! Drove myself to my doctors appointment with Dr. Salama When I arrived there was a waiting room full of patients. I learned that this was the only day he doesn't perform surgeries. He spends all day at the office seeing patients he performed surgeries on the previous days. I spent a lot of time discussing different procedures and experiences withe the ladies in the waiting room. Great group of ladies :-)
Day 7-Thursday
Didn't do much walking today because I had a rough time with my bowels. :-( Ladies please take your stowel softners religiously because this type of compaction is unbearable! The prescription pain meds will make you constipated. I gave been back and forth to the bathroom all day trying to have have a bowel movement. Couldn't eat much because my stomach was full and I need to empty before I could eat anything else. I drunk some "Milk of Magnesium" around 1pm and after hours of praying, sweating and fanning to keep from fainting. I finally was able to pass my stowel. I was so amazed at how much stowel was backed up in me. At my appointment yesterday I was a little concern with my stomach having a round look to it but Dr. Salama told me that it was still swollen and was possibly gas. But after have the bowel movement that I just had, it was nothing but sh!*@t! I felt soooooo much better after this, I showered and took myself out 2 eat! I Deserved It.....
Day 8-Friday
Today was the best day of all. My last and final appointment before I can go home. I arrived at my appointment at 11:30 am. Naomi checked my incision and drains. She told me my incision was healing very good and she was so surprised how straight up I was walking without any bending over. I was told me the drains would have to stay in until a 24 hour collection of fluid was 15cc's or less. I was placed in a full body garment and shown how to remove the drains when it was time. I was given another prescription for antibiotics and was told that I would need to stay on them until the drains were out. The office staff was the best staff a patient could have. I wouldn't change nothing about my cosmetic experience. I plan to go back in May 2015 for the BBL. Can't wait......I know I'll be in good hands.

You look good. You seem to have a lot of swelling. Don't worry it will go down. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Good luck with your Bbl. I love my results. Thanks for keeping us updated!
Glad everything work out well for you and you look great. I want to use Dr. Salama for my tt but he seems to be so busy. Did he have that available appointment surgery time you wanted or was it months away? That was my concern with him. I want my date in February the office said he's book up already.
Yes....he had the appointment I wanted. He is pretty busy, but I have found him to be moreleased flexible than other surgeons I considered.
Thank you
