Okay, where do I begin? I could start by beating myself up for making the biggest mistake of my life, but I won't. What's done is done. My main focus now is reclaiming my health. I am here sharing my story to hopefully help other women in my situation. Just know you are not alone!
Here's a little background so you can understand how I got here. I decided to get injections with a woman named Wee-Wee from Dallas almost 7 years ago. I should have known something wasn't right when I ended up in a eery house in a not so pleasant neighborhood. Somehow I must of known what I was about to do was wrong because I asked for half of what a normal dosage would be. Perhaps that's why it doesn't look as bad as some others I've seen. But don't let that fool you. My life has never been the same again! For the first two years I'm going to assume everything was ok (or maybe I didn't notice). After that, my energy level went zero, I'm always irritated, I have the worst anxiety, my hair was falling out, I have the worst back pains and as of lately, my legs tingle and fall asleep.
I guess for a while I was in denial so I sought help from numerous doctors trying to find what in the hell was wrong with me. Many of which thought I was crazy by the way.
It wasn't until I met Dr. Gallerani that I found someone who truly understood me and knew exactly what I was going through. What a sigh of relief!! Let me tell you something. I have read some of the other reviews and seen how some women say he is too expensive and is all about the money. That could not be further from the truth! He and his wife Maryann are two of the most compassionate people I've ever met. I honestly think if he didn't need to make a living, he would do it for free. All he cares about is your well-being. He could've made money from me years ago, but he chose not to. He told me to wait until I started showing more signs my body was rejecting the silicone because we could cause it to react and have a bigger problem on our hands. I was upset because I wanted it out but respected him for wanting to do what was right for me. If you read my previous post, you will see how much I admire and trust this doctor.
Fast foward a few years and the time has come. The pain has gotten pretty bad and I feel a burn and tingle pretty much every day. Luckily I didn't have much injected in the muscle so he doesn't't have to cut any of it out. It's very jiggly as opposed to some others I've seen which look pretty hard. My skin does not have any discoloration or change of texture. I do think I'm catching it just in time and am thankful I have the resources to go forth with the surgery. I will share my journey and am here to help as best I can. I beg you ladies, if you have these injections, no matter what you had injected, please seek help. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE!!!

So I’m a little over a week out and am starting to get a little bit of anxiety. On Monday I have to get all my blood work done so I can be cleared for surgery. I’m praying everything it’s well. I cannot wait any longer! My butt is burning as I lay here typing this. It’s a process ladies.

You’re in good hands! I did my surgery with him in June. The best decision I made. Good luck!
January 3, 2018
Thank you! Do you have any tips in order to make my recovery process easier? Are you feeling better 100%?
January 3, 2018
The recovery is hard and long, but doable. I would recommend staying off your butt as much as possible and taking it very very easy after the surgery, atleast until your drains are removed. Also I took probiotic, and drunk protein, green tea, and vitamin C daily to help with the healing process. Also wear your garment faithfully and make sure you get a really tight one, because after a few days it will loosen up. I’m not 100% yet, but close. I feel good inside, but ofcourse it was s major surgery so it will take a while to heal.
January 4, 2018
HI you did your surgery in June and still not 100%?? How long can’t you lay on your butt?
January 4, 2018
How long is the recovery? And when do they take the drains out? Could you go back to work a month after?
January 4, 2018
Dr. Gallerani told me I will have the drains for approx. 3 weeks and wants me to stay off my bum for 4 weeks.
January 4, 2018
Nope..... this procedure is not easy. To completely heal it will take atleast a year. I was able to lay on my butt as soon as both of drains were gone, which was 2 1/2 months.
January 4, 2018
Everyone body is different. I was driving at 2 to 3 weeks, which I shouldn’t been. I don’t work, but I would think after a month you would be ready to go to work as long as it’s nothing too strenuous. That’s my opinion
January 4, 2018
oh wow! You had your drains that long??? Did you have it in your muscle? I probably wouldn’t do reconstruction till after a year anyway. My swelling didn’t go away till a year after I had my breast done. So I would want to be sure I’m healed before I put my body through more trauma.
January 4, 2018
3 weeks.....That’s sounds about right for you.... my case was way severe than yours
January 4, 2018
Well I’ll tell oh what, If yours was more severe than mine, I am definitely happy you are on your way to a full recovery.
January 4, 2018
Yes that long! No I didn’t have it in my muscle. It just was a lot, 13 pounds! Yes 1 year to 2 years, I think would be good to wait for reconstruction. Who knows we may not need it at that time.
January 3, 2018
I think you took a great desicion. It is hard and you will be safe. You will need a lot of help after the surgery. I did it with him and now I am in the scheduling process for reconstructive surgery, not with Dr.Gallerani because his prices are extremely high. However, I am surehe will get all out, that is his goal. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.
January 3, 2018
Thank you for your advice and well wishes! How long ago did you do have the surgery? How’s your scar? I am getting a lift so I know my scar will be across the top of my butt.
January 3, 2018
I got mine June 2017. The scar is right at the middle of the butt. It doesn't look good but honestly doesn't bother me. What it bothers me is the indentations. That's why I am getting the BBL in may.
January 4, 2018
Yes you can. You just have to give your body enough time to heal. Most doctors like to wait at least 6 months before reconstruction.
January 4, 2018
Yes you can. I think is the safest way to get reconstruction. Call Dr del Vecchio, he can see you here in fl
January 4, 2018
Hi there! Thanks for posting this information. Can you provide any insight on the level of pain you were in the day of surgery and the days after. What type of assistance did you need & for now long. Ive scheduled my surgery for April 27th & I’m starting to plan my stay in Miami. Just trying to get a feel for how long I’ll need someone there with me. Also any recommendations on where you guys are staying for the surgery? I know Dr G gave me a list of local hotels but I’m thinking about going the Air B&B route so any info would be appreciated

recovery is very hard both mentally and physically. I had my surgery in June. it took 3 surgeries to remove all the product. my situation was pretty bad tho. my drains were completely gone after 4 months. the drains are the worst lol. I went back to work after 6 weeks. I got my reconstruction at about 7 months.
May 5, 2018
How do you ladies come up with all this money for these surgeries? Just courious because they are expensive ;(
May 7, 2018
DR Mir takes United insurance they say get a job at Starbucks or Home Depot for two months to get the insurance. He is in New York or Beverly Hills, it needs to be cut out to get the most out that u can.
