I had butt implants done feb 2008 and developed an infection. Had the implants redone dec 2009 but they where very visible when bending over. I went for many consults spring 2012 in Las Vegas. July 2012 I had the fat transfer to cover the implant but it didn't really help. Now July 2014 I trusted Dr salama to do a revision bbl and replace the implants.

Did Salama mess you up too?

I don't have an infection, however alot of girls on here who went to Salama do. It could be from anything-unsanitary equip, etc. They have all been taking antibiotics and had drains. Yet they contracted a rare bacterial infection.

Rare? From what I've read I thought the girls hadn't got the results back from tests? Did I miss something?

fabulosity contracted a "rare" infection as did another girl. A couple others are waiting on results still....

Oh I had only read about the tummy tuck being a rare infection. Up top you said they. Thought anenimity had a seroma first that resulted in an infection only after exposing the implant. & she kept one that is healing ok now. Just would think if it was unsanitary equipment both would be infected. And angelbowe said it was a minor infection not "rare"

I have felt strongly about warning girls about this situation. But no one listens so I just figure those who choose to go forward with him will find out the hard way-you will see. There is more going on than you know. Best of luck....

Ok let me try and clarify the misunderstandings here about my case. I had a seroma on one side only after 3weeks and to drain it my incision was reopened and my implant was exposed. That's the reason I got the infection only on one side and not both. But My infection took place on second surgery bc of implant exposure. Who knows where the bacteria came from? Even dr Salama doesn't. I am on antibiotics for precaution but still don't know how my infection is bc I am still waiting to see a specialist In bacterial infection disease for the one I "supposedly" have is not a common one. The other girl Angelbowe02 had both sides infected and never had any reopened till the day of removal and Both of them were already infected so her infection took place the day of implants surgery and she said the one she got is a common one found in [RS bleep].

I'm very curious as to why you kept the other implant in. To me, even if you went ahead and put in another implant, they won't look the same because you've put them in at different times. When can you put in the one implant again?

I'm sorry but how did u get this knowledge about implants replacement? I followed dr. Salama's advice at the time and all other Drs I have asked afterwords told me it's perfectly fine to replace one side as long as I wait minimum of 6 mths. Of course they will look different for a few mths for one side will be completely healed up and the other in the healing process but that is a timing thing. Risk of unevenness r present even when is first time for both together. I was in. A lOT of pain at the time and just didn't want to make choices I could regret later. Besides healing process for removal is same as to replace or first time and for both sides now I couldn't take it after all I went through. The mess is done and I need to heal and take things slow one step at the time. I have an infection to worry about at the moment and that's more then enough for me.i trusted my Drs. advice like I was supposed to when PAIN beyond I could bare was all I had in my mind. Now let's wait and see the outcome.

Anenimity... Thank you for clearlying that up. I'm really sorry for what you're going through and sorry for discussing you and your situation. :( do you or angelbowe02 place blame on him? Don't know if you would answer honestly on public comments. I just want to know because I am scheduled with him next month. And will you be going back to him to replace the other? Again thank you and I'm praying for you bb.

Aneminity, I was curious and that's why I asked about getting only one side removed. I hope you understand that I'm simply asking questions, not questioning your decisions or judgement. I'm actually rooting for you because I can't imagine going thru all this and then have an infection to then undo it all. It really sucks. I'm really hoping you have a full and speedy recovery.

Well thank you Backtoback and I dint mean to sound rude or anything I just read ur question about why I kept it but then u stated right after that u knew it wouldn't look good bc... Like u had the advise to give... So I wanted to know how did u know? Anyways I am glad to answer any questions from my own experience to anyone even just out of curiosity and open to hear them the same why around. Thanks again for rooting for me I'm really going through a tough long road to recovery and appreciate all the support I get from the RS members.
