Ok BBL sista and some lurkers (do it!)...it's now been 12 weeks since my BBL with arm lipo with the amazing Dr.Salama so it's time for an update:

I am posting this at 2.5 weeks post op. Dr.Salama is very professional and I feel based on my procedure, that he is a gifted surgeon. My body is dramatically different and now i have the beautiful shape I always wanted. He certainly has developed a specialty with the BBL procedure and he delivers amazing results. I was impressed- I heard on RS he wasn't a fan of wish pics but I took mine anyways and explained to him my desired result. I really wanted pretty hips!. Although we did not have lots of time together, Dr.Salama listened to me and he delivered the result I was looking for with my butt and hips - and I love my arms. My new shape is so pretty and I feel more sexy and more "me". I must also say that Dr.Salama did an excellent job selecting his staff - Celia, Nomie, Cynthia, Zuny, and all the lovely ladies there were wonderful. They are professional, genuinely hoping for best results for patients and they really made a difference with my post op care which was excellent. The post op care is above and beyond - they inform you and equip you with the tiniest of details to achieve your best result. Celia especially - her attitude and demeanor make her the perfect person for doing those important post op massages. Nomie and Cynthia were very accommodating. Overall, my experience with Dr.Salama was excellent and I am very grateful for my results. I would definitely recommend Dr.Salama!! Thank you Dr.Salama and staff!!!

U do have lumps? Elle this is what scares me. I don't want to be lumpy. I don't have much stomach fat so it's not worth the trade to me. I'm so scared I will regret surgury bc i might not gain enough to be happy. Im not gonna have a huge booty bc of lack of fat. I need to be carved out in the waist and flanks. I'm just worried about deformaties especially in bathing suit in sunlight! Maybe I'm too picky
I wouldn't say I'm lumpy. But I'm not perfectly smooth either. I had lipo on my abdomen 14 years ago which did leave me with a noticeable dent/lump - you can see it in my before photos on my lower belly. My back is very smooth. My abdominal area truly hasn't been out of a faja long enough to completely smooth out all the fabric wrinkles. In my opinion, I have very minor lumps with no major deformities. ***The KEY is to massage any and all lumps out BEFORE the scar tissue forms. You CAN get rid of lumps if you face the pain and properly massage them out early...like starting 5 days after. The technique of massaging the lumps out is very difficult and I highly recommend doing the post op massages at his office because that is all those ladies do all day long and they are very very highly skilled at what they do. I honestly do feel that as far as lipo goes he rendered wonderfully smooth results for me.

1 month post op pics

These photos are from Dec. 7, 1 month 2 days post op. Fyi, started period Dec. 8 so if this was me bloated, I'm happy. I did a total of 10 massages and now I do it myself as best I can each night after I get out of the hot bath. The heating pad and I don't get along well....

Thank you!! I think we used one of the same wish pics, lol. I love my hips too! Be careful going down sizes in garments- I needed to go down a size but one garment I felt was crushing get my new hips so off it went and instead I took the old larger one to Dora's Alterations (right around the corner from Dr.Salama's office) and had Anna take in just the waist part. Worked for me. Wait til you wake up from surgery - you'll feel those new hips and - big smile!!

looking good :) today was the last day of my period so I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow morning and magically some of the swelling will vanish lol. I can't wait till next Tuesday when I'm 4 weeks post op. Since this is my second BBL I imagine it will be a lot like the first time and at 4 weeks very little swelling or bruising remained.

Do you feel back to normal now energy-wise and without any lingering pain?

Cool. Yep, will check em out. I still experience pain. The worst is at night around bedtime and in the middle of the night. It is getting better but no, I still don't feel 100%. I do not sit and rarely lay during the day so from the time I get up til bed I'm on my feet and it tires me. I'm so looking forward to being able to recline. Right now, I don't sleep through the night because I just can't get comfortable. I get up alot a sleep very light. I hope your recovery is going well!

Here's where to get your fajas compression garments altered

Go to Dora!! Her shop is right around the corner from Dr.Salama's office and she is very good. In less than three weeks I went from an XL faja to a size M! At $140 for a new faja...it makes more sense to me go alter them. I don't want my hips or butt getting smaller. So...I took my fajas to Dora and she took in just the waists. This way I'll still have compression but much tighter in the waist area. You aren't supposed to wear a waist cincher until 2 months post op so this is my solution. Dora is super cool and sweet and she is very good at what she does. She also does alterations through the mail so you could just send her your faja with instructions on what you want.

She is very good. I have now taken 3 fajas to her and I love them. She also sells an excellent waist clincher with four hooks. I bought one for later.
