Surgery Day Experience! ????

WORTH IT$10,499
My surgery was June 18th. When I went in, Ruben and Dr. Salama each took turns coming in the room and discussed everything that's going to happen with me. The risks, what little health factors I have that will make me more prone to blood clots, and other things. I listened carefully and fully understood what I was doing. My main risks were my weight, and me previously being on medication for a long period of time (birth control.) (My period doesn't come without taking it.) I was relieved that those were my only risks because even though I'm overweight; I eat healthy, workout, don't have any medical conditions, etc.
---But girls do make sure you stop ALL medications a few MONTHS before surgery. Because even by taking certain medicines for a long time you still have some risks because it can be lingering in your blood by the day of surgery and give you blood clots. That's what I was told by Ruben. I wouldn't listen to their "stop all medication 2 week before surgery" recommendation, try to stop months before if you can. ---

So after that conversation with Ruben (the anesthesiologist), I went to change out of my clothes. I wore a loose tube top maxi dress, and a loose opened jacket there btw. My mom had brought slipper with her for me when I got finished. They give you compression socks, socks with grippers on the bottom (boy did those little things come in handy!), some surgical panties, and a paper robe thing to change into. You get a pregnancy test then too. I went back into the main room I was first in after I told the nurse I was finished changing. I don't remember her name but she was so freaking sweet. Dr. Salama came in and took pictures, then put markings on me. It really sucks being ticklish if you're having this done. Everytime the marker touched my skin I squirmed and wanted to run from it, it was horrible. He told me what he was going to do and everything he said matched up with what I wanted. I know we all have "wish" pictures and wants but I literally said nothing about what I wish he would do or what I wanted done. I wanted him to work his magic because he sees my body from a male's perspective and what he can do to improve certain areas. Thankfully that matched up to what I was aiming for. What I wanted was a nice round full butt, s-shaped, with some projection but not too much to where I'm going to be left with a nasty shelf booty. That's what I didn't want a nasty shelf booty or square butt.

To make this quick, I was taken into the operating room where I got on to the table and laid down. They stuck me in the hand, gave me a mask and told me to give them a few deep breaths and I get sleepy and go to bed. If you listen to them and do exactly that within like 3-4 deep breaths you will be out. ???? That was like the best sleep of my life... It happened so quick and then I woke up. Thankfully I didn't wake up in a panic or anything because I have anxiety. Lol, but when I did the nurse kept telling me to lay on my side... I couldn't hear her clearly but she repeated it about 5 times and I tried and tried but I couldn't turn on my side. It wasn't a bad thing because I just got out of surgery and I was stiff. I couldn't breath with that mask still on my face, so I took it off and everything got better. I asked the nurse how long was I out for and she said about 2 hours. In my head I was like daaaaamn, so I asked her if I could get up. She helped me, and gave me some juice. Mi madre was brought in and helped put my dress and slippers on. The nurse or someone had already put on my compression suit while I was out. She told mom everything went well so that was good. They put me a wheelchair and rolled me out.
We used Uber's the entire time here. They are so nice and understanding. Getting into cars were the worst though. You just throw yourself on the back seat... I literally avoided sitting anywhere so I could save as much fat cells as possible. Then I went home and went to sleep.

Dr. Salama was the best choice I could've ever went to. Throughout the entire journey him and his staff members made me feel so comfortable and gave me a warm welcoming toward taking my journey with them. I first met with Nomie when I arrived and she was such a beautiful spirit, so kind and sweet. She is absolutely gorgeous! She went over everything with me and asked me if I had any questions but she covered everything. Then I met with Dr. Salama; he was such a nice, and attentive doctor. (And very handsome in person.) He told me what all was going to happen in the procedure regarding risks, what my body type was, etc. He described his plans for the BBL to me and they were exactly what I wanted, so that itself was amazing. I knew he was the best in this field and he is still living up to it. When my follow up came around he let me know that my progress was on track and I was going great. I'm loving my results so far and can't wait to see them when they are finished! I would recommend him to anyone who looking for a quality doctor. He takes his time making sure all of his patients gets the best results and are treated kind. Thank you EPS!

Update: Time Flies

Hey girls!
So a lot has happened since the last time I posted on here. I ended up having to cancel my 2014 date with Dr. Salama due to a family emergency. It was very unfortunate, and a tough decision to make but family comes first with everything. I rescheduled my BBL the same date but a year later for 2015. (Thankfully.) I was fined an additional $2,000 because I had to reschedule days before my surgery. It was a bummer, I'm not going to lie, but I was fine with it because of my circumstance with the health scare that was happening at the time. I rather be with family in their time of need than getting surgery and have something happen while I'm too in a weaken state. So I don't have any regrets about my decision. Money comes and goes but family is forever.

I will be updating this soon with how my surgery went!

I lost weight for the BBL but lately I'v been gaining it back… it's all bad, and all Ive been eating lately is fish and broccoli for my diet and working out and the weight is just not coming off? Idk what is going on, my friends say its bc I'm stressing too much but who really knows. I just hope I get to the weight I need to be before my sx date.
