I am 61 years old, live in New York City and had my Brazilian Butt Lift procedure done in FL. almost 6 months ago. The experience itself brings up mixed feelings because there were a few dramatic moments. To begin, the anesthesiologist was in my opinion not experienced enough. He rushed the procedure and I suffered the consequences. I found myself choking and unable to breath begging for the process to stop. I have had anesthesia several times before and never experienced what I perceived as a life-threatening situation.

To my surprise I survived and asked Dr. Salama what happened. He said that the anesthesiologist reported that I had an anxiety attack. I suggest to anyone undergoing general anesthesia to talk about all the consequences with the anesthesiologist not just sign a waiver. I think if I had had more conversation with the anesthesiologist my level of anxiety would not have been so high. Secondly, I was not informed ahead of time about buying medical insurance because I was an out of town patient, who would probably need to see a doctor in NYC. Needless to say I brought the insurance in fear that it would cost me more if something happened in NYC. Lucky me! I accumulated abdominal fluid and drainage was required. So to any of you ladies going out of state get medical insurance.

Now you need not to go to the hospital emergency room even if Ruben tells you too. It is a waste of time. The emergency room doctors are not plastic surgeons and they do not want to get involved in fear of being sued. Get a plastic surgeon that works out of an accredited facility. I was able to get my girlfriend's plastic surgeon to see me. But this saga continues because I am still trying to get my money back from Cosmet Assure. Thirdly, I contacted colitis 3x as a result of the antibiotics I took following my surgery. Last but not least is the horrible pain that I have endured throughout this entire process and continue to struggle finding a comfortable sitting position.

However, in spite of all I have been through I do not regret my choice to do this surgery and I love the way Dr. Salama has changed my body. I can wear a pair of dress pants, fitted dress, jeans and feel good. My booty and new curves look awesome. I recommend this doctor . He is good and his prices can't be beat!
