I decided that I wanted to have a brazilian butt...
I decided that I wanted to have a brazilian butt lift done at the start of 2015. After researching multiple doctors, I chose Dr. Salama based on his expertise, referrals, and results. I visited his website multiple times and saw that he worked with many females who had my same body structure and decided that he was the best one for the job. Initially, I e-mailed his office for a consolations, wherein they immediately e-mailed me back with his comments and recommendations in going forward with the procedure. After doing so, I contacted his office and made my deposit (10% of the original cost of the surgery, or $800). Over the course of the next few months, I made multiple payments and was also able to put some of the surgery on to my Care Credit account. My surgery was scheduled for Friday, July 10, with a pre-operative visit date of Thursday, July 9. I flew from New York to Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesday, July 8. As soon as I landed, I received a message from Dr. Salama's office saying that they wanted to reschedule my surgery for Thursday, instead of Friday. I agreed, and one of his office associates said that they would see me for the preoperative visit on the same day as the surgery. I was nervous because my sister wasn't arriving until Thursday afternoon, and was worried that I would not see her before the surgery. On Thursday morning, I gathered everything I needed to go to the preoperative appointment site and headed in that direction. Upon arriving to the office, I filled out paperwork and was quickly greeted by one of the nurses. She explained the procedure, what to expect afterwards, and then sent me on my way to the surgery site. I arrived at the surgery site, wherein I was greeted by one of the nurses. She advised me to change into the required attire and pee into a cup for a sample. I then waited to see the anesthesiologist, who reviewed the risks and procedure with me. Shortly after, I was greeted by Dr. Salama who further explained the procedure, marked my body, discussed possible risks, and answered any questions. My sister was on her way to the surgery site so we waited about 10 minutes so I could see her before I went under. After seeing her, I was guided into the surgery room wherein I was given the anesthesia and quickly put to sleep. The next thing I remember is waking up and asking for my sister. I was wheeled out into my sister's car and we were on our way back to the hotel. I was heavily medicated, but the soreness and tightness was NO JOKE. I went back to the office the next day and wherein a nurse examined my skin and put a t-shirt on under my garment, which was painful because I was so sore. I had two drains, one in the front and one in the back, that I had to empty when they became full. My body was so sore and I felt extremely weak. I had my first massage on Monday, which was torture, literally. The massages, I would say, are the most painful, yet important part of the recovery process. I am scheduled to have two more massages on Wednesday and Friday, before I leave to go back to New York on Saturday. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my results. I did not know what to expect, as far as pain, but the recovery process and massages are the hardest part. Its extremely uncomfortable to lay down and try to get comfortable on your sides or your back. My butt doesn't hurt at all, its just the areas of liposuction are extremely sore and tight. It feels like you've been working out for 24 hours straight.

you said it's extremely uncomfortable to lay on your sides or back? I thought you couldn't lay on your back for 2 weeks. please explain what position you slept in. did you use a body pillow?
I laid on my sides without a body pillow. Sometimes on my stomach but then it feels like I can't breathe
good luck and fast recovery!!!. xoxo.
