My journey started about a year ago when I decided...

My journey started about a year ago when I decided I wanted to improve the shape of my waist and booty. A friend suggested that I go to DR with her because she was interested in the same procedure and it cost less money. After weighting out the pros and the cons, I came to the conclusion that leaving the country for surgery is way too risky and absolutely out of the question!
I started to research BBLs surgeons in New York (where I live), I found a few doctors but no one really stood out. I asked my mom to help me research some potential surgeons (she is a RN). After our individual research on doctors from out of state, we both came to the drawing board with Dr. Moises Salama. I called the office to get more information. I spoke with Nancy, she was very informative and patient and addressed all my questions and concerns. We were on the phone for about 30 mins, I e-mailed her pictures of my body (front and side profile) to get a virtual consult. After a few lengthy phone calls with the office I decided to book a surgery date, this did require a down payment. Even though I did receive a virtual consult I needed some reassurance that I chose the right surgeon. I decided to take a 3 day trip down to Florida and visit the office to meet Dr. Salama and get a live consult. I met with Dr. Salama in May, he was very patient, he answered all of my questions and his bedside manner is excellent. After I left the office I felt great and I felt even better about choosing this doctor.
Surgery is scheduled for August 4th. I flew in on August 3rd and went straight to the office from the airport, for my pre-op appointment. I met with Dr. Salama again we spoke about the surgery, he was very straight forward and honest. He gives you realistic expectations. During the pre-op office visit, Dr. Salama offers a technology called "cell saver," it costs about $500. I highly recommend it, because the technology is used in hospitals for better recovery. The office would be able to provide more information regarding the benefits of cell saver.
Post op I was in severe pain. I had to wake up every two hours to ambulate, eat and drink plenty of fluids.
Eating and drinking is key to recovery. Set your alarm clock and wake up every two hours, walk around for 10 mins, eat protein and veggies it will help with healing and give you energy. Drink plenty of water and gatorade, hydration is really the key. Dr. Salama gave me exactly what I was looking for, hips and projection. I'm 7 days post op and I feel great, I have a nice tiny waist and a nicely shaped booty!.. I'm still very swollen so this isn't the final results but so far I'm extremely pleased with how Dr. Salama sculpted my body. I can't thank Dr. Salama and his staff enough for creating such a wonderful experience.

***I do not write reviews, but I really wanted to thank and show my appreciation for Dr. Salama and his amazing work.

Helpful tips:

- Take vitamins pre and post op as recommended by the office (vitamn C, Iron, probiotic, and fiber) I started taking the fiber pill twice a day two days before surgery because the pain medication and anasthesia will cause severe constipation)
- I rented an apartment with a kitchen, my mom traveled with me to take care of me post operatively, this allowed her to cook high protein meals (eggs, chicken, steak), the convenience of the kitchen was a life saver, the apartment also had a washer and drier inside the unit which made things a lot easier also.
- I rented a mini van where the back seats folded down flat, so the car ride would be a bit more tolerable.
- Solo cups to urinate into because it will be difficult to position yourself to use the toilet after surgery.
- 2 robes
- 5-7 tight fitting cotton undershirts to wear underneath the faja post op
- 5 Sundresses (or less if you have access to a washer and drier)
- the office will provide the garment you need after surgery and they also provide lips foam to protect your skin
- 2 cases of bottled water
- 24 bottles of gaterade
