Shaking off the nervousness...

$8,299
I am getting nervous but every time I look at my photo from behind I wonder what took so long for me to make the decision to go forward with my bbl surgery. I know no one is perfect... but I believe if u don't like something about yourself and u have the means to change it u should go for it!!! And that's exactly what I'm going to do. I am a bit comcerned and wondering if anyone experienced bloot clots or an embolism following the procedure?? I was also wondering how often should u have the lymphatic messages?

Of course sometimes these things happen, but I believe it to be rare. Follow all post op instruction given by the doctor and wear your compression socks for the first 3 days. I know it's going to be hard right after surgery, but get up and walk around every couple of hours, as these things help with a successful recovery. As far as massages go, you will be given 2 with Dr Salama, with the opportunity to purchase a third before you leave. Would not be a bad idea to search for a masseuse in your home town that does lymphatic massages and go ahead before surgery and book at least 10 for your return. You will need to schedule 2 a week for about 5 weeks. I hope this helps.

I was considering Dr. Mendieta and Dr. Salama for bbl surgery. Although I liked both of their post op photos and credentials, I went with Dr. Salama because he was a little less expensive. I am scheduled for May 2nd and but now I'm getting nervous because I saw someone's post that they regretted their decision because they were very unhappy with the outcome. I paid my deposit for the surgery & recovery Center already but I am looking for some recent reviews regarding bbl surgery with Dr. Salama.

Me to I'm scheduled for surgery soon and saw the recent bad reviews so I'm a bit worried . But I called the office yesterday no one returned my call. I sent an email with the pics and review to show them what's on the review. I called again today was told the administrator would return my call still waiting . So yes I'm beginning to get worried not good.
It seems like the office is very busy but I did speak with Nancy about the negative review. She was very patient with all my questions & very reassuring. She stressed the importance of following the post op instructions for optimal results. I have seen that all the doctors have at least 1 negative review but I felt a lot better after talking to Nancy. My date is May 2nd.When are you scheduled for surgery?
Trust me, I had surgery with Doctor Salama February 8th and I could not be happier!! He is a true artist!! I had absolutely no problems whatsoever!!
What compression garment was most comfortable for you?
Dr Salama had given me my first 2 compression garments. My stage 2?compression garment I will take to be tailored. It is getting loose. A few girls ended up purchasing another garment from the office for $140. Which would be your stage 3 garment which you should be fine until the 8th week, which is when you will be using your waist cincher daily. I feel like the garments they provide fit perfect as they will recommend the size you will need. As far as comfortable, it's tight, but that's what we have to go through I guess for the recovery period. You will get used to it!
Thanks for the advice :-). I think I will stick with the garments they will provide!
That's what I would do. Best of luck! :)
Thanks Kelly38 :-)
I had sx on 2-23. I'm happy with my results. I've posted pics u can check them out. I will say being there and seeing how busy they are all the time I can understand how getting back to ppl fast could be a problem. I mean they are dealing with ppl coming in to have sx then getting them off the table alive then answering the phones for new ppl and ppl coming in for post op follow ups. I was surprised to see Nomie as much as I did and be able to talk to her as fast as I did. My boyfriend was with me everytime I was at the sx center and other office and he said every girl that walked in and out said that Salama was a great doc. That made him feel like we made a great choice. I too had read some sketchy reviews but then he'll I couldn't find a doctor out there with a skweaky clean record. I will say go with your 1st mind! That's what I did after doing plenty of research of course. Good luck on your bbl journey !!!!
Oh yeah duh my sx was with dr. Salama
Thanks for writing back. You look great!
Hi Kimmie! You are in great hands, you made the right decision to go to Dr. Salama! I had surgery February 26 and I could not be happier!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope mine goes well. Btw, did u buy additional compression garments? If so, what kind did u use?
I did not buy any additional garments and I wouldn't recommend it before hand because you really have no idea what size you'll be. Dr. Salama's office will give you two. You swell so much at first and it goes down drastically. I'm planning on getting one of my garmets taken in by a tailor.
Ok thanks for the tip! I was driving myself crazy looking at these compression garments online. I ordered 2 and will be sending them back to get my money.
