Disfigured and Dismissed

I agreed to be a model for Aveli during a clinical training at the med spa where I work, thinking I’d be helping others learn. Instead, I was left disfigured. My buttocks lost all shape and support—I used to feel confident in my body, but now I avoid mirrors and only wear sweatpants to hide. I feel completely humiliated by the damage.
This wasn’t just disappointing—it was traumatizing. I was not warned this could happen. The treatment was done under the direct instruction of Aveli’s own trainers, and the provider followed every step they gave.
When I contacted the company, I was met with zero compassion. The president of the company was cold, dismissive, and even nasty—she blamed us and refused to offer any kind of help or financial support. I was referred to a plastic surgeon, but the fix would cost thousands of dollars and require long-distance travel. I can’t afford it, so I’m just stuck—physically, emotionally, and financially.
I work in this industry and if something goes wrong with one of the treatments, not only do I apologize and sympathize, I correct it for free. I expected the same and was very disappointed with how the president of the company treated me.
I offered my body in good faith. Aveli left me with structural damage that will take multiple surgeries to correct. If you’re considering this treatment, please understand: if something goes wrong, they will not help you. They’ll blame you and move on.
