Day 11 - 4th day of stiches removed.. Stepping out!
Swelling of my eye is going down nicely. Still a little tight and washing my face in the shower feels really different.
Checks are still swollen but healing so well from the laser, I'm very surprised. I was expecting worse.
I've posted pics from:
- Evening of day 9. (evening of day after stiches came out) to show how well the swelling of the
eye went down.
- Ventured out to the shopping centre today to pick up a few things. I tried out wearing makeup
for the first time. It what I got from the clinic to help cover-up the pink and bruising.
The scars on the lids took some time as the stiche scars are still inward and seemed to stand out
more once I put makeup on. It evened out after working on it.
I took it off once I got home. Taking baby steps. :) Very happy with the results so far.

Day 9 - Stiches are out!
Stiches are out. They came out really well. Only one was an ouchy ....outer corner of my left eye. This is also the puffy one. Drive over was good. Just be careful to keep out of direct sun light. Daughter in law was great taking me there and then we had fun buying my sunblock and makeup for the pink areas.
Swelling is going down around the eyes. Lower lids still are puffy and the deep grove from my eyes to my checks seem more pronounced. Doctor advised filler injections will be best for this area. It'll be some time I even consider that yet.
The itches started more so last night, so I'm being very mindful of keeping my hands away from face at night.
Over all I'm feeling happy with the results. I have taken leave from work and don't return until 7th Dec so I'm happily healing stress free.

Day 8 Yay removal of stiches today
OMG washed my hair for the first time since the op. Its not until you cant wash your hair that you realise how glorious the feeling of clean damp hair is.
My right eye is still a bit swollen but its stable so I'm not concerned. Looking forward to having my stiches removed. My daughter in law volunteered to take me in to the doctors today. I would have driven in myself but they want to look after me. I have great children and their partners.
I slept in bed last night for the first time. I've been have the strangest dreams and they freaked me out. Must be all the medication. Its way over the amount which is normal for me. Slept well once I was in there.
