Over the last 5 years I've lost 31-32kg. Weighed 86kg at my heaviest & was so unhappy. I'd lost weight before 5 years earlier & anothet 30 kgs but sadly put it all back on due to stress & bad food/ lifestyle choice. Most of my life I've been a yo yo dieter ( since age 15) & my weight has fluctuated dramatically. Since losing 31kg 5 years ago I've managed to retain a stable weight at cuurently average 55kg though went up to 57.5kg 2-3 weeks ago & was freaking out as i was scheduled for a tummy tuck yesterday to remove excess skin , no muscle tightening as i had a back operation & fusion 11 years earlier.

Oh my gosh I've been thinking about this for years. Been wanting to remove my excess tummy skin for a long time but have been too scared. I have low pain threshold & a bad back which had been of great concern. Paid my deposit 1 month ago and had tummy tuck surgery ( no muscles ) yesterday 7th Oct.

I was extremely stressed out & afraid & almost changed my mind after the surgeon drew his marks on my body. But amazingly ihave gone through it. Hooray. .i never thought I would but here i am typing away in hospital on day 2.

So here's my progress so far.
DAY 1: Scared to the max but went for it. Woke up in some pain but was heavily sedated. Slept most of the day. Thank goodness for the pain drugs. My stomach feels flatter but can't see it well. In bed all day.
DAY 2: A bit more pain. I was Ok in the morning but after the nurses sat me on the bed & i stood ( bent over) hovered over a chair pain increased ( as expected ) i now have a very bloated swollen stomach. Nurses are insisting this is all normal. Have very low blood pressure ( i normally do) but even lower since surgery. Anyway ive been told the quicker you move the faster you heal.

In some pain prob 3-5 on scale of 10 but manageable. See what tomorrow brings.
I have confidence in my surgeon & hope final outcome great. Too early to tell just yet.
I just hope the scar is wide enough as the surgeon has changed his mind on length. Prior to surgery marked a longer one to give minor lift on hips but on the day decided on some lipo on hips with shorter scar.
Sincerely hope that this was a good decision. We'll wait & see as i heal.

Cheers.
