I thought I would just drop by to give an update on what's been happening! The only hiccup I've had with the surgery is that I developed an infection on my right hip where there were still some stitches, and so I was put on antibiotics for that. The stitches are supposed to be dissolvable but I had an open wound and I pulled around 10 small pieces of the surgical stitches out, which was not painful but very weird.
I was pretty much cleared for all exercise after 1 month, and since then have run a half marathon and cycled Around the Bay. The surgery barely affected my fitness at all.

Dr Bloom did an amazing job. In my first consultation, he asked loads of questions and I didn't feel like he was just 'ticking boxes'. He was happy to do the TT and leg lift together but I didn't feel like he was pressuring me to do anything that I didn't want to do. His staff were great (Kirsty always called or emailed us back straight away) and his availability meant that I could get the operation at a time that suited me. He didn't use drains (a BIG plus) and all of the recommendations that he made were backed up with experience and research. Being able to go to Linley Private was also amazingly convenient. I am so happy with the results!

Life is almost completely back to normal! I'm back at uni, back at the gym, and back at work as of next week. My scars are all healed and the only pain is a vague bruised feeling. I'm so happy with the results
