I received a 1/2 syringe of Restalyne Silk in my tear troughs and a 1/2 syringe of regular Restalyne in my outer eyes because the PLASTIC SURGEON said I was hollowing there. It’s been 15 days now and it seems that I’ve been overfilled in my EYE SOCKETS. I didn’t have any bruising. I thought at first that all of this was swelling but now that’s 15 has gone by, I’m thinking that this is the filler and not swelling. Is it still “moldable” to push the product in place or should I think about dissolving it in some areas?

Can some please explain whether or not restalyne can be placed in the tissue of the eye sockets?

Is this allergy-related?

Why am I looking this way? I am truly hoping that some of this puffiness is allergy-related and will get better in a couple of weeks but at this point, I’m losing hope. I’m not too sure what I need to do at this point. But I know I don’t want to look like this for the next 2 years. Maybe laser treatment to smooth out this ridges you see?

I am so sorry because of you. I have only one advice to give: leave it. I have been ih filler hell for 16 months, and now things are going better. It slowly back to normal.

what sucks the most is that you spend almost $1000 and you look just as tired (if not more) as you did before - if not more. VERY SAD...

Did you have any itching or redness in the area as well? It could be an allergic reaction, but in my honest opinion, I think this surgeon over filled you and also placed the filler too close to the surface. It could potentially get better in time, but perhaps you should get it dissolved. Schedule an appointment with another plastic surgeon. And for future reference, don't EVER let anyone, (even if they have "Dr" attached to their name) do things to your face that you are hesitant about, even if they say so. I don't think he should have added extra filler in the outer area of your under eyes. You didn't have that deep of hollows to begin with. I hope you get this resolved soon. xx

No itching or redness. I have been applying a bunch of pressure to the area thinking that I could still move the product to the right area. so, I may have caused some temporary trauma to the area. I also have some congestion so I’m thinking that maybe it’s allergies too. After using an eye mask and taking some allergy medicine, it looks better this morning. I’m going to wait it out and see if it continues to improve. I was also thinking about doing a PRP treatment to see if that would help.

I would try to leave it alone for a few weeks to see if it can somewhat resolve on its own. Before you do any laser treatments, why don't you make an appointment to get the filler dissolved? That's what I would try to do. Good luck!

I’ve heard that it can affect your natural skin tissue. I e read a lot f horror stories on here about it. So I’m scared about looking “deflated” and it seems now that only one eye is over-filled. Maybe in 6 months, it’ll look ‘normal’ - I’m sure hoping so!

You can get this dissolved with hyaluronidase at any facial plastic surgeon's office. It'll cost around $150 or so but no, you won't need a laser to remove it. When my surgeon injected restylane, he didn't use the microcannula technique and instead injected directly onto the orbital rim (the eye socket bone) which turned out to be a great choice. You have thin skin like I do so injecting restylane too superficially can look lumpy like this. Just my two cents!

yep, it looks as though the restalyne is above my orbital bone. Not sure I will have restalyne placed there again. I’ve had Juvederm used in my tear trough area before and it didn’t swell up like this.

I had restalyne in my tear troughs and it looked good for the first couple days. Then it "sunk". That's the only way I can describe it. It sunk down to over the orbital bone. It's not even been a month. I think it's completely gone now. $660? really? Not doing that again

Did you ever go back to him and show him these results?

Just curious - why don't you follow up w him to see what he says? This dr. seems to get a lot of great reviews. I was/am even considering going to see him for a consult for tear trough implants (I have hollows from a lower bleph). Would love your feedback!
