WORTH IT
I'm big on fitness , workout all the time and eat healthy. Over the years it's gotten harder to keep abs looking tight and fit no matter how much I worked that area out! I've never had that problem in the past as I'm a fit, small boned and slim person. However, at some point as we age, losing some elasticity in the skin, gravity takes over as well as from having children in the past from the aging process etc. I wear a size 2 and or size 25 or 26 waist in jeans/slacks and I didn't want any muffin top going on! That was my motivation and Dr Chike-Obe did a WONDERFUL JOB!!!! He does amazing work, he's a young whipper snapper that's much older than his years especially in skills. He's brilliant and has an AMAZING bed side manner, LOVE HIM??

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

Ok to break it down, I work out all the time, eat healthy, however as I've gotten closer to 60 but not there yet, my ab section has gotten to the point that only a tummy tuck would get the kind of results I wanted. I've always been and still am VERY ACTIVE. I'm small boned, very slim and in shape, except that mid area was a THORN in my BELLY:)!!! No matter how hard I worked out and which weight I did not really have to lose, it would make me look older because I'd lose in all the wrong places like my face, butt area which is small anyway. I talked to my RN who does my injectables and the topic of a Tummy Tuck was discussed to get the achieved results I longed for. I'm the kind of person that thinks things through and then I GO FOR IT, I don't waste time or look back once I've made a decision and committed!!! Yes of course there's Pros and Cons on any elective surgery and otherwise. So here we go...
The Pros:
1) Instant Gratification
2) My abs will look amazing
3) Can't wait!!!
4) My clothes will look and fit better
5) I won't CRINGE every time I see myself naked in the mirror in that stomach area!!!
6) I'll feel more confident in myself in wearing tighter fitting clothes working out and otherwise!!!
7) Was it WORTH IT??? OH H*LL YEAH, I'd DO IT AGAIN in a HEARTBEAT!!!
8)I could go ON AND ON.....

The Cons:
1) I'm afraid, what IF it doesn't turn out like I planned? But IT DID!!!
2) Am I too old to do this,? H*ll NO!!!
3) Yes, it's hard work, be PREPARED for what your Dr. tell's you about your recovery time!
I'm a SUPER ACTIVE person, workout 24/7, so that was the HARDEST PART for me, THAT I couldn't work out for a while. However, I knew that time would finally PASS, that kept me going!!!
4) You MUST follow your Dr's instructions to a T if you want to get the results you want and in the TIME your Dr projects for you.
ALSO, remember, the better shape you're in the more probability of a speedier recovery time PLUS you'll have BETTER RESULTS!!! So if you have some weight to lose, lose it first, get into shape and BE REALISTIC on what your results are going to be. These Plastic Surgeons are darn near Magicians, however, they are human and have to work within the means of reality and your specific body type.
Research your options, ask QUESTIONS, make SURE you're going to a "Board Certified Plastic Surgeon!" I CAN'T EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH!!! If you're going to a "reputable" Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that performs his or her work @a "reputable establishment" then you'll pay the EXCELLENT PROCEDURES PRICES, the SAFE FACILITY and SERVICES!!! Again, I can NOT EXPRESS these POINTS ENOUGH!!! Who wants a CHEAP Plastic Surgery Job?!!! That spells DISASTER:(!!! So make sure you're dealing with reputable Doctors who have expertise in the fields you're interested in. ASK LOTS of QUESTIONS and do your homework in researching!!! I'm thrilled I did this, couldn't be happier NO REGRETS:))))
