I had the absolute best experience during my consultation at 360 Plastic Surgery! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Dr. & Mrs. Chike-Obi were nothing short of amazing! They took the time to listen to my goals, answer all my questions, and explain the entire process in detail. I never felt rushed or pressured—just genuinely cared for. Their expertise and confidence reassured me that I was in the best hands. I left the consultation feeling informed, excited, and completely confident in my decision. If you’re considering any procedure, I highly recommend booking a consultation here. It’s clear they truly care about their patients and their results! Five stars all the way!
I had surgery with Dr Chike-Obi two weeks ago. Tummy talk with bilateral breast exchange. I am healing so nicely the incisions are beautiful. He has done an absolute amazing job, and I am blessed to have him as my doctor if you were looking for a double board-certified kind wonderful doctor, please go to his office and tell him Debbie sent you.
Dr. Chicki-Obi is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. He’s willing to listen to all your wants, needs and concerns. Great bedside manner. My first procedure was a breast lift, then next was breast augmentation, And then a tummy tuck with muscle repair. I’m so pleased!
Couldn't be happier. Hate that I waited so long in life to have this procedure. Always had deflated drippy breasts. Dr. Chike-Obi fixed this. I chose him for his more natural aesthetic and he has a great eye for what looks natural and good for your frame. I wasn't sure about implants but he made me feel comfortable with choosing a small size to round out the look with the lift. It's changed my life and how I feel- which is what he wanted for me as well. He has a great staff, wonderful, comfortable surgery day and post op. I wouldn't go to anyone else for anything else
Meh. I think he’s a wonderful surgeon and has lovely bedside manor. I did a BBL and wanted a more rounded shape which we discussed but from the get go he gave me a more heart shape during the process. I may be doing a revision which isn’t ideal. Overall a decent experience but may find more noticeable results via another surgeon in Austin
I have been thinking and researching Smart Lipo for about a year. I had consults with several doctors and decided on Dr. Chike-obe as I really liked his results with sculpting. The process from consult to post op was awesome. All the staff was friendly, informative and really made me feel cared for. Procedures: Smart Lipo - upper/ lower abdomen, waist/flanks, bra back, lateral sides and auxilary fold. Fat transfer to hip dips. Total time: 5.5 hours The day of the procedure I was a lot less nervous than I thought I was going to be. I attribute that to the staff making me feel so prepared and the adavan didn’t hurt either. Once they got the IV going the nurses started on the tumescent fluid filling. I had my eyes covered so couldn’t tell why they were doing, but I didn’t find that part too uncomfortable. On the whole I didn’t experience much pain throughout the majority of the procedure. There were some weird sensations but they made me really comfortable and I was able to chat. Towards the end of the procedure things got a bit more ouchy. I’m not going to lie, the auxilary folds were really painful, but the nurses were so sweet and held my hand and pet my face. The fat transfer to the hips was pretty uncomfortable as the skin stretched to make room for the new fat. After everything was finished, they got me wrapped up and dressed very quickly and wheeled me to my moms car with a care package (extra pads, animal crackers, water). I was really out of it afterwards and super high. I got home about 8pm and are a bit of soup. I felt pretty nauseous after eating, but didn’t throw up. I took a promethazine and crashed out hard. The next morning was really rough. Difficult to to get out of bed on my own. The fat transfer was the worst part. It was very painful to the touch and burning sensation. I got up and out of the house for my 1 day check up. Once I was up and moving it was better, it’s the getting up and laying down that’s rough. As I’m writing this I’m two days post-op and today was a lot better. Took my second shower and removed the foam that was stuck to my belly which sucked, but I was able to walk around a lot easier and even was able to sit at my craft desk and work on a project for a bit. My skin is numb to the touch and feels weird. Once I got the foam off my belly looks a bit bumpy and uneven, I’m hoping that’s just the healing and everything will tighten back up. I’ll post pics tomorrow, I couldn’t focus to take any while I was out of my garments today. But I can definitely tell I look smaller and have more hour glass shape than before. Updated on 3 Nov 2019: This morning was pretty rough. I’m always stiff when I wake up, but unfortunately I had the extra fun of a migraine as well as recovery. I’m finding as the day wears on if I can push through and make myself walk around a bit instead of laying in bed, it’s much better. I still can’t feel my skin, it’s a very odd sensation and I swapped out the foam they stuck to me for the suggested abdomen board and it is not nearly as comfortable. My hips where they put the fat are MUCH better today, hardly any pain and it just feels a little tight. Updated on 3 Nov 2019: I was finally able to get some post op pics. I have some bruising around the hips and arm pits, but I can already see my new shape coming through. Just gotta get through the next few weeks/months of swelling. Updated on 10 Nov 2019: Had my week check up the other day and they said everything is healing up well. All my incisions are pretty much all closed up and healed. I’m pretty swollen, but if these are my results with swelling, I’m thrilled to see it get even better. I’ve been taking Lymph Stim herbal stuff (which tastes horrible). And arnica tablets. Which seems to be helping keep the swelling down. I’ve started today doing dry brushing as well. One more week and I’ll start lymphatic massage. I’m still fairly sore and tight feeling. And the skin feels very tingly. When I get a good long walk in, I have this weird hot tingle sensation that is less than pleasant. My hips where the fat transfer went in are pretty much pain free at this point d the bruising has faded. It’s a little hard, but softening every day. Updated on 19 Nov 2019: I’ve finally got sensation back in my skin on my trunk. Pain has gone drastically, but I’m feeling very tight and swollen. Started doing stretches and scar treatment. The incisions have all healed very nicely and I can’t see most of the spots. I’ve got some mottling on my skin where it looks lumpy but they said that would smooth out with time. I can definitely tell my hips aren’t as full, but I hope it sticks where it is now or else it would not even be noticible or worth the 3k to add that part in. I have a check-up schedule for Friday so will ask about that
Received a 295cc HP under the muscle I weigh 150 and am 5.8 1/2. My biggest fear going into this was my breast would be too large after since I am already a 34C I’ve always liked my breast but I just wanted more fullness at the top . This man was so calm and his nurses were great at explaining things. Originally I chose 325cc but went down there was no issue at all. And the staff stayed on top of reminders and sending receiving labs. I’m only one day post op and the size is better then I thought! They are full and have that “those could be her own full breast or are they fake?” Look. Love !
My entire experience with Dr. Chike-Obi at Westlake Dermatology has been such a dream. The staff is so warm, welcoming and helpful especially his nurse Nicole. And Dr. Chike-Obi is a World Class Surgeon with a masterful technique, excellent bedside manner, and is literally the best around physician I ever had. I've just arrived at my 6-month anniversary after my breast augmentation and I couldn't be happier. The procedure took very little time and the staff kept a close and caring watch on me during my first week of recovery. My incisions are very small and healing so well that they will soon be undetectable. And as for the actual augmentation, they are perfect! I am beyond grateful that I had Dr. Chike-Obi to advise me on the best size and type of implant that would best compliment and enhance my figure. If you are searching for 1st Class service and a World Class Surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Chike-Obi and his staff at the Westlake Dermatology in Downtown Austin. You will not regret it.
My consultation was a 3 step process. First I met with the wonderful Meesha who explained the implants and procedures. Then I met with Dr. Chike-Obi's nurse who helped me wear the implants inside a trainer bra. We started with a small size and kept increasing implants until I wore a size that felt too big. Brought a male friend (ex-lover) who knew my body and was willing to feel and give feedback on the implants. His input was invaluable!!! We decided on a 450 cc. Dr. Chike-Obi joined after we selected a volume to weigh in, explain the surgery and answer any questions I had. I asked about the rate of errors and they are as low as 1%, with the manufacturer of the implants covering a large portion of the correction surgery. Dr. Chike-Obi is patient, a good listener and very informative. I recommend at least visiting with him.
When I went into Westlake dermatology I was very nervous but also excited at the same time. I chose Dr. Chuma Chike-Obi because I felt like he had the best results when I had looked him up on their website. We decided to do my upper and lower abdomen along with my waistline. On the day of the surgery you could only imagine how nervous I was! But the nurse was very nice and assured me that the procedure would be just fine. When we started and the nurses had given me lidocaine, and for me that was the worst part. It did get easier once it settled in. After the Dr. Came in and we started. It went well and I was in no pain. We finished at 10:50 just like he said he would. The staff was very friendly and they answered any questions I had. I'm glad I chose Westlake dermatology for my procedure!:) Updated on 9 Nov 2016: In order to shower I had to take off all the undergarments they had given me and when I did I was in shock. I looked so good and it was only my first day with my new body! The picture doesn't give it justice. But please keep in mind I'm very swollen right now and still leaking a little bit. I can't wait till I'm fully healed!:)
Hello,Physical examination can never be replaced by photos only. That said, jawline, chin, and cheek volumization would help you achieve greater balance. A 'dense' filler like Volux would be a great choice for this. I would recommend a bit on the nose as well. Botox for the platysma and DAO muscles will help with the shadows under the mouth. Lip filler may help with the volume of your upper lip. You can combine this with some botox ('lip flip') to increase upper lip show. However neither of these will truly shorten the philtrum and you may need to consider a formal lip lift procedure.
Botox helps with this version of 'sad face,' or 'mad face' Treating the DAO muscles (depressor anguli oris) and the plastysma muscles in this are help to treat this issue.
Recovery varies and it is impossible to say without knowing your BMI, pain tolerance, body habitus, implant selection. I tell patients to avoid lifting more than 25lbs for the first 2 weeks, and to avoid strenuous activity for the first 3 weeks. Walking is encouraged starting the day of the procedure.
Aveli is a promising treatment option for localized cellulite. Most practitioners will administer local anesthesia (dilute lidocaine + epinephrine) solution to the area after it has been marked. This usually gets the job done.I perform Aveli either as an isolated procedure under local anesthesia, or combined with liposuction +/- fat transfer, either under local or general anesthesia. -Dr. Chike-Obi
While every surgeon strives to be the best they can possibly be, the risk of complications from any surgery is never zero. Potential tummy tuck complications include bleeding (hematoma), infection (major or minor), fluid collection (seroma), delayed healing, blood clots (venothromboembolic events), scarring issues, skin loss, incision breakdown (dehiscence). Overall complication risk ranges from 20-40% depending on what study is being quoted. Risk of seroma formation is in the 5-15% range. Risk of minor or major infection is much lower than that.(Source: PMID 22747350) So what is a seroma and how does it form? The body makes fluid into a fresh surgical space, such as what occurs in a tummy tuck. Most of the time the fluid is reabsorbed and everything is fine. Sometimes this is not the case. A seroma occurs when the volume of fluid created is greater than the body's ability to reabsorb it. I believe shear forces contribute to seroma risk. In other words, too much moving around to early after the procedure without the appropriate internal (sutures) and external (garment) support. Most are small, but some may need to be serially aspirated. Sometimes a drain may need to be placed, or certain agents injected to encourage closure of the space. All in all, a huge number of patients are happy with their tummytuck results. Complications can occur, yes, but the rate of complications with a competent surgeon, who is careful, thoughtful, meticulous, and who selects their patients carefully is quite low. The reason this procedure is popular is because it is the only way to address the problems it solves, at once - the combination of loose skin, separated muscles (rectus diastasis), and localized adiposity or fat deposition of the abdomen. -Dr. Chike-Obi
