2 days after suture removal

Suture removal felt like plucking a stubborn eyebrow hair. No bleeding and no holes left over. No pain, soreness or swelling after. Feels just like any other section of skin ok my face. I'll post a picture with makeup on later. Overall very happy to have the hole gone and I have to say my "scar" looks better than some others that were posted ( which still looked very red and irritated after suture removal)

Had an ugly scar left by my Monroe piecing I got when I was 18 (31 now) that never closed over. Finally got tired of it after being asked for the millionth time if I had a mole ( I don't even know how it looks like one). Went for a consult with Dr. Vrcek to see what could be done. I am overall very impressed with his as a surgeon. He was very personable and answered all my questions fully. I left feeling very confident about scheduling my procedure to finally rid myself of my teenage mistake! He recommended a skin punch and closure with a suture. The scheduling process only took a few days and I didn't have to do much. The day of the procedure came and I was a little nervous about the numbing portion because I heard that it can sting/burn a lot!!! It was not bad at all. Of course it was a little uncomfortable for the first few seconds (if you have ever been stung by a bee I would say it was like that but half as intense) and then I was numb! I could tell that he was working on my skin but did not feel any pain. He was done what felt like a second later and stitched me up. The procedure itself was very smooth and maybe lasted a total of 5 minutes (add an additional 10 for prep). He explained exactly what to do and not to do after the procedure like no strenuous activity for the first day so I didn't pop my stitches. After care is very easy, Antibiotic ointment 3x a day for 6 days. The numbing has worn off and the area is a little sore but not enough to take any pain medications. I did forget and accidentally rub my lip for a second, hurt a little but I was more concerned I messed up the stitches! It hasn't interfered with eating or talking. Seeing as today is day 1, I'll keep updating my healing and if there is any scarring when the stitches are removed in 6 days.

Very personable! He explained everything well prior to the procedure and kept me updated as he was working. He kept me distracted and calm during the more difficult parts of the procedure (numbing) and talked through it with me which made it a good experience. I will be seeing him for other procedures in the future and would recommend him to friends.
