DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction - Austin, TX

I was referred to Dr. Whitfield by my breast surgeon. I came to see him shortly after I completed chemotherapy so I was pretty beat up and worn out. I reserved my surgery decision until after my consultation appointment with Dr. Whitfield, but I was immediately convinced that this was the right thing to do and he was the right doctor to do it. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! My breast reconstruction experience was seamless from start to finish...from Dr. Whitfield to his office staff to St. David's medical and nursing staff...EVERY single person I came in contact with was knowledgeable, patient, kind and compassionate. I understand now why Dr. Whitfield and St. David's Medical Center have both received accolades from peers and the community itself. My surgery was a difficult and sensitive one but with the help and guidance of Dr. Whitfield and his staff, I made it, and I will be forever grateful!!! Thank you all for your assistance during one of the most challenging times in my life! I have already referred a personal friend with similar circumstances to Dr. Whitfield...she will not be disappointed either :-)
