Dr. Haydon it an excellent surgeon – I could not be happier. I’ve been thinking about having this surgery done for 10 years; I finally made the decision to go through with it and would do it all over again. I had my breast reduction with Dr. Haydon in December of 2015 and went from an H to a full C or D. I don’t think my new “girls” have totally settled, so not sure on the exact size.
His bedside manner is so calming and reassuring, I felt totally at ease the entire time. He’s very honest and upfront on what to expect. My biggest fears were the anesthesia and having the scars. Because of Dr. Haydon’s calm disposition, I was at ease going into surgery and didn’t have any anxiety before they put me under. Before I knew it, I was in recovery. As for the scars…let’s just say he is an artist. My scars are perfect – he did an excellent job. They are so thin and straight; I’m healing very nicely. I am lucky and still have feeling in my nipples – sometimes too much! I didn’t have much at all before, so this is definitely a welcomed change. One of my fears with having the scars was that I’d feel imperfect and self-conscious. Not the case at all. My self-esteem is better, I love being able to wear clothes that actually fit me instead of my boobs, I stand up straighter and my neck/back pain is much better. It’s not totally gone, but is gradually getting much better. Prior to surgery I was in pain every day, all day. I was going crazy!
One more thing, Dr. Haydon’s nurse, Wanda, and his office staff are amazing. Everyone is so professional, kind and friendly. Wanda was so patient with me after surgery and answered all of my questions. Naomi, the office manager, was on the ball with my insurance authorization. I couldn’t imagine that the experience could have been any better. SO happy! I had consults with two surgeons and once I met Dr. Haydon – I didn’t hesitate. If you’re apprehensive about having this surgery for any reason…read up, talk to the doc and do it. You won’t regret it. I wish I would have done it 10 years ago!
