So I went to my pre op last week. I met with my PS...

So I went to my pre op last week. I met with my PS. He answered all my questions. I asked him about recovery time, cost and where the procedure would take place. He was very nice. I went through a lot in deciding size. In the beginning I wanted bigger. However, I was dating a guy who said not to go to big. Im glad that him and I are no longer seeing one another- so big it is. 450cc silicone. Im 5"5 and between 130lbs and 135lbs. Im also 30 years old. Im excited and cant stop thinking about getting this done!
Now I will add- I am in recovery and have been sober off all drugs including alcohol for close to three years. So this procedure is considered "risky" in my sober group of friends. So I am sure there is some judgment. I have created a plan for accountability. My sober friend "Lisa" will be staying with me for 3 days. On the fourth day I will cut off the narcotics and start the advil. So I have put some thought into this. I also have a few other friends (all sober) that will be checking in on me.
I plan on deep cleaning my apartment on Sunday. Ie; change bedding, clean bathroom, clean kitchen floors, dust and vacuum. The day before my surgery I plan on going to the store and checking off all the things I will need. Ill add my list a bit later.

Congrats on your sober lifestyle! I went "big" 21 years ago and love how I have felt about myself ever since. It's more than just a breast augmentation; it's living in a body that you love, that feels right. I had a great Dr who told me, "Go big, because most people go conservative and then come to go bigger." I trusted that advice and am happy I got the size I wanted. . It's your body!! Way to be empowered.r

Sitting and waiting/grocery list/freaking out..
So since live logged on I have deep cleaned my apartment. Wentt grocery shopping. I went to my pre op at the actually hospital this morning. They took a urine sample to make sure I'm not prego. The nurse seemed to know my doctor very well and said many women have been happy with his results. Which was comforting. I have been in freak out mode about all the complications. Ie- bottoming out, capsular contractor, Skin not healing properly. Yikes! My mind can take me to some messed up places.
Another thing- I am having "Lisa" stay with me. I love her to death and she is my best friend but lately she has been kinda flaky. It worries me she will not be at my house thursday morning at 5am.. Eeeeek. I guess I'm getting nervous! I guess I could always take a cab and have her meet me there later... Omg- my mind will not shut up! Is this normal? I feel kinda cray right now.
Here is the shopping list I came up with:
Tylenol (extra strength)
Colace
Really cute cups with straws for cold drinks
Soup
Rice pudding (love!!)
Frozen Peas (4 bags)
Flowers :)
Dial soap
Popsicles
two nice sports bra's

Thank you for starting your journey on RealSelf. Wow, congratulations on 3 years of being sober. That's wonderful. It sounds like you've got a solid plan for your recovery including some supportive friends to help you and be there for you. There is a chance you won't even need meds that long, but do stay on top of your pain the first 48 hours. If you have time, here are some items you may want to purchase and set up prior to your surgery. Glad to hear you chose your size and not the ex bf! :) Good luck this week and keep us posted!
