My torso looks short I think it's must have pushed my diaphragm up when he over tighten my stomach muscle. Please let me know when yours went. exparel?anyone?

erobert32
Hi all, so thus far everything has been great. I had some follow up question's and Dr ewart's staff was super prompt in their response...I'm just wondering what everyone's experience has been with/without exparel in terms of pain...how did you manage pain post surgery? I have a super low pain threshold, that's why I opted for the exparel. Any shared experience would be super appreciated! Thanks y'all...

I have little pain. Stopped taking pain meds a week after surgery. The only annoying and discomfort is the drainage tubes. They get on my last nerve but I get them taken out tomorrow. Wasn't and isn't really painful for me at all. My stomach is still numb. I'm two weeks post op. I'm in California :)

I had Exparel and it does make you numb. Mine lasted for 3-4 days. I still took pain meds for abt 4 days post op but I was able to get up and move around every few hrs just after surgery.
January 29, 2015
Were the pain meds for soreness from the lipo? What else causes pain other than the incision sights?
January 29, 2015
Also what does Dr ewart prescribe for pain management?

I had Tylenol 3, phenegran for nausea, and a muscle relaxer prescribed. You will feel like you've done 3000 ab crunches and soreness and bruising for all that your body went thru with surgery in general. So there is still pain just not as bad as it would be if you didn't get the Exparel. I had two csec and they were more painful than this tt in my opinion! You will do great!

I would not have any surgery without Exparel.
