I had 72 lipomas removed from several places on my body. This is the third time in 5 years. The first surgery by a Plastic Surgeon., 45 lumps were removed. 2 years later, I had 77 removed by a different Plastic Surgeon, and just last month, I had 72 lumps removed. These push on my nerves and cause pain and heaviness in my arms and legs. Do No Go to a regular surgeon. They don't seem to have the experience with this. Many of these, removed recently were in different places, many on the inside of my knees. There were so many that he was unable to get them all, but he said we could take out the remaining ones with a local. All three of my surgeries have been in a hospital and were covered by my insurance. I took about 2-2.5 hours to remove the 70-77 lumps. I am so pleased with his physician and will continue to see him if I have more problems.
