Today I am in 4 day post op. I am moving ok but get short of breath. I've only been walking around my bedroom and feel exhausted. is this normal? Could it be the Percocet? I am down to a muscle relaxer and 800 Ibuprofen to help.
My Torso feels numb and heavy. I cant wait to have the drains removed because I am terrified of pulling them accidentally.

Hey girl,

The first week is the worst so hang on.  You have just been through a major surgery so you will feel tired, sore and generally crappy.  Pain medications can totally mess with your system.  Call your doctor and tell him how you are feeling and ask about the pain med situation.

Moving around is good for you so keep that up.

I will try and post pictures tonight. I have my ups and downs. My stomach is still numb, mid center. In the evenings or when I feel like being "normal" I cook and clean it swells and gets tight. I had a small amount of fluid and my PS said it will be absorbed by my body, no worries unless it either started oozing out of my drain opening and/or I began to have fever and chills. Can't wait to not be sore and have my stomach swell. thank you, ladies, for the encouragement. My PS is Dr. A Losken at Emory Aesthetics.?

Benadryl Extra Strength Itch Stopping Gel will be one of your BFF's when you get those nasty itch attacks, I also use Palmers Cocoa Butter with Vitamin E.

How long did he leave them in? Did you go home with a pain pump too? Sorry for all the questions...just want to be prepared! :-)

One came out two weeks after surgery , the other at three. No pain pump, you get your prescriptions orders at preop.. No problem with questions

Thank you for all information. How you doing now? Do you still have pain? Do you have a before and after picture. How long before you went back to work?
