Laser Was Great. Fat Transfer Was Awful.

Laser c02 was great. Please do your research before getting fat transfered to your face. Biggest mistake of my life. I'm only 23, my face is misshapen and my skin is sagging from the fat dissolving. A surgeon that I saw two years post procedure told me that fat transfer to my face was completely unnecessary for improving acne scars. Would do anything to turn back time and reverse the procedure.

How r u doing now? I invested in the tripolar stop and pose and love it! Hey a warranty as they do break and the stop wouldn’t stay on and the cord quit working but otherwise the investment has saved me tons and it works! Also, In doing natural methods and trying to avoid anything costly or invasive. Any surgeon will of course want your business and recommend surgery..it’s more money in their pocket!

Fat transfer review

I would not reccomend having a fat transfer to the face. I have too much volume in my face now and completely lost my controur. My new surgeon said I would require a face lift to reverse it... I'm only 22.
Still a fan of the C02 laser though.

Have u heard of Clary Sage an Essential oil good for scarring. Also get a red light that’s great for the skin. And use all natural stuff like emu oil and dermaroll (Walmart)

Results have faded

I made one post about the fat transfer not being totally desirable (in my personal opinion) but wanted to also post a very realistic photo of what my scarring looks like now. The laser treatment has definitely faded (PLEASE NOTE that I am a smoker, so that could have effected my results)
Overall, I think the laser treatment definitely IMPROVED my scarring, but in my experience the results have faded a ton in a year.

It looks like you have a few rolling scars. Maybe more treatments would help such as subcision + filler, RF microneedling (not dermaroller) and a course of TCA peels. This is what I've been recommended and plan to do myself, in that order. I don't know if you can do filler after having fat transfer though.

Did you get pro fractional laser on your right side too or just the fat transfer? Thanks!

Results do not "fade". The swelling from the procedure went down, that's all. If anything, over time the results should get better as new collagen is produced which can take up to 6 months.

Um, yeah @sdjack, sometimes results do fade, and that's exactly what it looks like happened over time. You can start seeing the results begin to fade in the six month post procedure photo, and then she also posted one a year afterwards.

@tessoliviab, thank you for sharing your experience in detail and over time. Sorry you had disappointing long-term results:( It looked really great right after you had it done though.
