I am 35 years old, 5'6, mother of 2, and loving wife. For as long as I can remember I have never been satisfied with the breasts I was born with. I've gone through many padded, push up, and lined bras over the years. I was never confident to even undress in front of my girlfriends. I would always get my own dressing room or turn the other direction. I have even been embarrassed in front of my husband. Also, I've always been what you would consider a pear shaped person, big in the mid-section, no butt and skinny legs.
Over the years, I have come to terms with what I was naturally endowed with and my husband makes me feel sexy and beautiful in front of him. He loves me for me. :-)
I had my first son in 2005. I gained 60+ pounds with this pregnancy and topped out around 240. This took its toll on my tummy and breasts. I am one of the unfortunate ones who apparently does not have much skin elasticity and prone to stretch marks. I slowly deflated over the course of a 1yr and a half but my stomach looked like a wrinkly mess and the boobs were not any better.
Over the course of the next 8 years my weight fluctuated mostly going up. The mid-section growing and growing.
I got pregnant in 2012. I started the pregnancy at 215 and found out that I had gestational diabetes early in the pregnancy. I watched my diet and only gained 20lbs during the pregnancy. At a pre-birth ultrasound I was told my boy was weighing in at 11lbs, so they recommended a c-section. After a brief moment of disappointment, I agreed that this would be the safest way to bring my baby boy into the world. On July 23rd of 2013 we welcomed our second son into the world.
I lost the pregnancy weight pretty fast but still remained overweight and with even more stretch marks and more droopy bobbies.
In Dec. 2013 I decided that I was determined to get off my unwanted weight. I joined a weight loss clinic on Dec 15th and started my journey.
Fast forward 11 months, I had lost 50 lbs. Just 5lbs away from the goal I had set for myself. Not the advised weight chart weight but a place where I feel good about myself. I was happy to finally be able to once again wear some of my old "skinny" clothes and start feeling better about myself. But I now had a big flap of stretch marks hanging around my waist that I soon realized was not going to go anywhere and hangy, strechmarky, baby suckled, even more droopy boobies.
One day the idea came that I should absolutely get a tummy tuck. I began to research procedures and dream of ways that I could accomplish this goal. Along the way I also began to desire the breast augmentation that I had wanted since I was 16.
I finally figured out my finances and began to seek out the best doctors to do the procedures and started with consultations.
I met with the staff and Dr. Colgrove at Vinings Surgery Center for my consultation and was pleased with the experience and was confident that this was the place. I proceeded to find a date that would work for me and my family and got the financials together. The following week I did blood work, scheduled, pre-op appointment, and then set the date for Nov. 4th 2014.
