6 days post. This Monster Mons.....

M

Getting easier day by day. Started shooting pains below incisions and I'm still so nervous that the mons isn't going to decrease back to pre-surg size. This swelling will give me the camel toe from hell in all my skinny jeans. :-(
That will be one of the first things I ask when I go back to doctor. I ordered Spanx panties and I'm putting ice on it for 30 mins each day. I have had 1 lymphatic drainage massage and will go twice a week through the end of the month.
I can see the difference thus far, specifically in my lower abs and I hope that all the pain is worth it come next summer since I waited too long to flaunt anything this summer. Lol

OMG, monster mons is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Glad you're keeping your sense of humor throughout this ordeal. I'll look to you for inspiration when my time comes. BTW, you look great!

I'm am officially 2 weeks post op. I had just lower abs done with a little of my flanks. I had the same swelling (aka: monster mons) and was a little nervous about it. It has gone down considerably and looks SO much better at this point. I think I still have a little swelling, but over all looks normal at this point. Give it another week and you will see how much better you will look and feel.

Thanks, that's encouraging. I followed up today with office and they had to drain 70cc of fluid from the area. I also an
had lymphatic drainage massage afterwards. I'll be two weeks out on Monday. Did you use any certain garments or additional compression in that area?

My surgeon put me in a garment by designveronique style #1650. It is the non zipper abdominal girdle. It's actually more comfortable that I had anticipated. It's definitely tight and not as hot to wear as it looks. At the 2'week mark I requested the high waist brief #145 and while I like the snap crotch better I find that it pinches my flanks and is a little irritating. Both provide nice compression.

I had the same procedure done by Dr. Larsen a little over a year ago, and my mons swelling has not decreased at all - i'd be interested if yours ended up going down any or if this is permanent?? You can see mine through a bikini bottom!

Sorry so late responding. It's still larger than it was pre-surgery and I can't really tell in my swimsuits.

I'm a bit confused since my compression garment is what I pretty much was already wearing prior to my surgery. I had purchased at Nordstrom a few months back just to wear under my clothes. I see others garment and it covers more area and just lookso to provide more compression than mine. I'm also wondering would the pubic area be as swollen if I had a full body suit instead of just a midsection corset style contraption. Idk. My pain has decreased, just still really sore when I get up and down from bed/sofa/car. Also, had some shooting pains down leg earlier and near incisions. Hope I'm up for it since I'm back to work on Monday.

Here are a few pics I took with garment on. You can maybe see the public swelling that has me on high alert.

Only a week off work? I'm looking forward to hearing how you do. I'm planning on going back after only 5 days. It's hard to tell with binder on, but it looks like they did a good job :)

Hi...i had lipo in pretty much the same areas as you. I'm wearing a full body compression garnet and I feel like it helps me a lot. I had to go take it in because it was already loose after 4 weeks. It's been 5 weeks since my procedure. I feel I'm slowly getting better every day. Best of luck!
