I am beyond pleased with my results so far! I just had Juvederm injected yesterday, and although I'm still a bit swollen, I'm very pleased with the outcome.
The pictures posted are my before (top) and the morning after (bottom). I read lots of reviews on realself that most of the swelling will come the day after injecting, so I wasn't too surprised with how puffy I looked (thanks to the RS community, btw!) . I took some bromelain, arnica and a Zyrtec after the last pic was taken, and the swelling went down quite a bit. I have a little bit of bruising, but it's almost tucked into the inside of my top lip, so it's not that noticeable.
I had one syringe, splitting it between the lips and laugh lines (you can see the difference there, too!) I plan on taking baby steps in this process - I don't want too much of a change so soon. I'll probably go back in another 6 months.

Looks great! Is this the first time you've done this? I had my lips done for the first time ever 1/19/16. My always-thin top lip has been disappearing with age so I decided it was time to try this. The dr just had me put an icepack on my lips for a few minutes before the injections. Only felt little pinches on the top and nothing on the bottom lip. Have some dark bruising in the middle and one side of my top lip and a lot of uneven swelling but it has gone down a bit since then and am hoping the rest goes away in the next day or two. I thought that the filler would be injected into both ends of my lips but he only did the one end and a bit towards the middle and then massaged it around. One side of my lip has always drooped down more than the other and I'm hoping that this will even it out. He said he put a bit extra over there although he didn't inject that side and that's where the big swelling is at...at least I'm hoping it is only swelling and not too much Juvederm just parked there. I'll give it a few days to see what happens with it. He's a great dr so I am not worried that he did it wrong, I am just concerned it may be just how my lip is reacting.

Hi there! This was my first time with Juvederm. I had Restylane silk injected in my lips about 6 months ago, but I could barely tell a difference in my before/after. I had a lot more swelling & bruising with Juvederm than I did with Restylane, but my end result with Juvederm is much better. The swelling/bruising really wasn't all that bad - it was pretty easy to mask. How are you feeling now that it's a few days after your injections?

I didn't find that it was painful having it done and the bruising and swelling didn't hurt either, just trying to cover up the purple bruises on my top lip took a bit of doing. I noticed that on the 3rd day I was much better and pretty much done with everything on the 4th day. I have a naturally uneven top lip that I've always hated and though the dr put extra in the droopy side it didn't quite move all the way over to the end of my lip but settled instead just off-center so now the other side of my lip is smaller. Am thinking about having a bit more injected to even it out but I have to find out first whether he used the full syringe or if there is any left....I'd hate to pay another $500 just for a tiny touch up, so I am going to call today and find out. I do like having plumper lips so I think I will have it done again when I need it....I think it lasts about a year?? I also like that I didn't end up with trout pout or duck lips. Once a few years back I had some botox injected around the outside of my top lip and I ended up looking like a duck so I had been hesitating about having this done in fear of a repeat.
