I've had two procedures with Dr. Deutsch and have been very pleased with both procedures. The first procedure was a skin graft. I was diagnosed with melanoma and had to have a portion of the skin removed on my hand. Dr. Deutsch came up with the great idea of taking the donor skin close to my previous C-Section scar to use on my hand in a skin graft. That way I would only have one new visible scar. I was so impressed with his creative thinking. The other two plastic surgeons I got opinions from were going to take the skin from other very visible places. That surgery was in Sept 2013 and went very well. Then, at one of my post-op appointments with Dr. Deutsch I brought up a lump in my stomach above my belly button. He looked at it and was able to quickly diagnose it as a ventral hernia. He said he could fix it and do a tummy tuck at the same time if I was interested. I've had two very big babies and for my stature, 5'2" and 120 lbs, my kids left me with a lot of extra skin that never went away even after a lot of exercise. After a lot of thought and consultation with my primary care doctor, I decided to go for it and I am so happy I did! My surgery was in Jan 2014 and I was fully recovered after 8 weeks as Dr. Deutsch had predicted. My stomach looks great, and I can wear tighter shirts again as well as bikinis.
