Prior to moving to Atlanta from CA in 2014 I was looking to have this procedure performed on the West Coast. As it turned out I was going to fly out to Atlanta to have Dr. Anderson do the procedure because he is regarded as one the best plastic surgeons that performs hair transplants, male or female in the country. Everything went perfect! >From the initial consultation with Sara to the scheduling of the procedure and most importantly the procedure itself. If the guy took up oil painting tomorrow he'd be a modern day Picasso!
The surgery went exactly as planned. His surgical team worked together as single unit, just like a professional sports team does that had been playing together for years. It was clockwork precision. What struck me most was their incredible attention and focus throughout the entire procedure regarding my level of comfort with every step of the process. When you're awake through a six hour procedure comfort and care are serious concerns and his staff understands this as well as any surgical team in the country.
The procedure itself was flawless. Because of the technique used by Dr. Anderson I've experienced almost no discomfort from the procedure, and it was no small transplant I assure you. The donor area has recovered incredibly fast and the scarring (only seven days later) would be unnoticeable if it weren't for the fact I still have the stitches in place. I was back at work on the 3rd day after the procedure with almost no pain. The staff contacted me the very next morning to check-in on my condition post-op and see if there was anything I needed that would help speed my recovery. The level of care that Dr. Anderson and his staff provides is truly unmatched.
The post-surgical recovery process is what brings it all home. Each day there are a specific set of tasks you need to do to care for the donor and recipient sites. Super easy steps, and if followed to plan the results will exceed your expectations. I’m already planning a follow-up procedure for later this year because of the way I wanted my hair to look and I had some serious loss to repair in the first place.
On top of the fact that he is one of the best surgeons in the country and highly regarded as a leading innovator in the field, his techniques are used many other top plastic surgeons around the country, he’s an incredibly genuine guy that truly puts his patient’s care and health above everything else. It’s a shame he doesn’t do general medicine or I’d have him as my family physician as well!
