Day 9
Some of the swelling is going down
Post op days 3-9!
Day 3 was better but still a lot of pain and trying to get comfortable.. I didn't realize that sleeping on my stomach would be so hard( I'm a side sleeper) ! Day 4 was much better pain was not as bad and I'm more mobile around the house ... I still need my Percocet! I hate taking my garment off...it's like a security blanket now but my drains were still I and I'm in an extra large compression garment if I hadn't mentioned that before. Day 5 I felt like I had a set back.. Got up to get breakfast and felt like I couldn't move.. Stayed in the bed all day . Day 6 went to post op visit and drains were removed but I have a lot of swelling that doesnt seem to be decreasing..Day 7... First massage which was great and bare able..Day 8 started using my creams for all my bullett wounds as my husband calls them! Day 9 I made smoked spare ribs, mac and cheese and fresh green beans!
Post op days 1 and 2
The first 24 hours were really rough...a lot of pain and I couldn't get comfortable. My man made female urinal worked great. Moist towelettes are a must! I was able to walk by myself today. I have a couple of drains in ...went to get changed at the Dr office... I must be allergic to the tape they used or the Kotex pads because I itch to no end...so I ended up removing what they did and used my own supplies. By the way, the Dr did my lymphatic massage when he changed my dressings and it felt like a thousand needles sticking me.. Take your pain meds before your massage!
