I live in atlanta and I am starting the journey for my breast reduction. I would love to he a B cup but I will take a C. BCBS has approved me for a breast reduction with one PS but I wasn't pleased with the doctor. My next consultation is this Thursday Sept. 25th with Dr. Wang-Ashraf. I'm nervous.....

My consultation was great! It seemed like Dr. Ashraf read my mind. She answered every question before I asked it.
The only thing is I want to get the BRCA1 & BRCA2 testing done and that can take a whIle for the results to come back.

I have a consult with Dr. Ashraf on the 23rd. My insurance UHC has yet to approve me im sure it will be an uphill battle. Did you like her results?

Hello Floridachic,
I really did love her results! She specializes in breast surgery and her partner specializes in breast reductions. She is warm and inviting and wants to listen to you. So ask as many questions that you can. Let me know how your visit goes!

I recently got my approval letter in the mail. Today I talked to a genetic counselor for the brca 2 testing and I also gave blood for the test. I should get my results in two weeks. This test is the deciding factor on whether or not I get the breast reduction or a bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.

I had a BA with Dr Wang-Ashraf and she was wonderful! I'm so pleased with my results and the whole experience was better than I could've imagined. Good luck!
