September 2013 I went for what was supposed to be a full mastopexy (breast lift) with implants. I was concerned about scarring, but MD told me that benelli lift would not give me the results I wanted so I signed on for full lift. Surgery went well, but was called 2 days post op and was told MD did Benelli lift. Needless to say I was extremely upset. MD tried to convince me they looked ok at follow up appointments and they may have for a month or two, but quickly thereafter they dropped to where they were before, but were now heavier under the weight of the implants and one side effect of a Benelli lift is stretched nipples so mine were now 2 cm over the normal size. I signed on for a revision surgery, but because I didn't trust first MD, I found new MD who gave me my full lift on 12/4. I have subglandular implants (200cc) and she did full lift around them while decreasing my nipple size.

12/3 Night before revision surgery
Took one last pic of my saggy boobs. The 200 cc implants have put me at a D cup again. They are actually a little large to me, but didn't want to pay to have smaller implants put in since I was having to pay for this second surgery anyway. Hoping with the full lift they will look a little smaller though and be off my chest. I have loved the consultations with my new doctor, she takes plenty of time with me, will answer her cell phone when I have questions or concerns and has given me a clear idea of my results. I can't stress enough finding a doctor that does all those things because I definitely didn't do enough research the first time around.

6 Days Post Op, first MD visit
Got my huge post surgery tape and gauze off today at doctors office. Felt so good to take a real shower. Unlike last surgery where I was fitted immediately into a post surgical bra, this time I had tape unlike I've ever seen (heavy duty) that fitted across the entire front of my chest and held them up like a bra, felt so good to get it off as well, was getting itchy. Recovery from just the lift has been a little easier than the Benelli lift and implant surgery. I have to guess it was the implants last time that made it feel like an elephant was sitting on my chest. Have been taking minimal pain pills and was actually up and walking the night of surgery which didn't happen last time. So got my first glimpse of boobs, still tape goop and pen marks, but getting an idea. I love them. They are higher than I thought they were going to be. Its amazing not to have them lying on my chest wall anymore! This is what they should have looked like the first time. I'm to keep tape on the incisions and a surgical bra on 24/7 until at least my 6 week follow up. And ugh, bloated from pain medication, little pooch belly here.

Wow, you have had quite the journey! You look great!!! I bet you are so much happier this time around, that must help with the healing too.

Thank you! Very much so. It was nice to find a doctor who really takes the time to listen. And also I was more aware of the emotions that would follow. Because even if you've always wanted bigger boobs or perkier or whatever the surgery is, you are changing your body. It is a huge change and causes your emotions to go up and down. Last time I stayed more reclusive and ate more honestly, this time, I know it will pass and I'm spending more time with family and friends getting out. It has helped immensely.

Thats so great to hear -- I was not prepared for the emotional part of it, but being on this website and getting encouragement from all the girls here, has really helped! Glad you are getting out and being social during the healing process! I will aim for that too.
