I am 6 days away from breast augmentation with a lift. I have been waiting years to have my breasts done but as the time gets closer I am becoming more anxious. I think the not knowing what I will look like afterwards and the reaction I will get from others is not helping. I am getting by boobs done after having four kids. They are not what they used to be. LOL. I have been reading a lot of the posts here and there is some great advice out there. Did anyone else have trouble sleeping before the surgery? Does anyone have any advice for scarring and healing after a lift? With my breast tissue and sagging, my PS recommended the lollipop method for the lift.

I am also scheduled for a BA with a lift. My PS is also going to do a lollipop lift because I have sagging skin. Yes I am also nervous and am having trouble. I am wondering how bad will it hurt, did I go too large with my implant, etc. Thursday can't come fast enough...

I am right there with you. I want larger breasts that don't sag. I have lost a lot of volume over the years so I know they will look bigger no matter what size I choose. I have always heard people say they wish they went bigger. I hope I am happy with the end result. My biggest fear is looking too big.

What size implants are you going with? My PS recommended not going bigger then the 475cc on me, or skin would tend to stretch. He also said, just like you did, he has never had a woman complain about going too big.

Thanks for sharing your story! I too am having a BA with a lift June 25th. What size of implant are you ladies getting and what type? I'm going with 650/700 HP saline.
June 9, 2013
I am going with 475cc HP silicone. I am on the petite side, about 5'5" and 125 lbs and am hoping this size looks good on my athletic build. Good luck to you, are you as nervous as I am?

Yes. I am 5'2" and 110 lbs. I am going with a 450 HP silicone. I keep reading and looking at post op pics. I am wondering if they will be too big for me. I wish I could see my post op (minus a month) me first then decide from there. LOL

Same here, I have been looking at quite a bit of different before and after pics, trying to get an idea of what mine might look like. I was either going to go with the 450cc or 475cc. According to my PS there is not much difference between, so I opted for the 475cc. I also don't want to go too big, that would be horrible! I hope I made the right choice...Thursday can't come soon enough.

I am three days away from surgery. I am starting to freak out. I am going back and forth with what size to get. I thought I was set but I am not rethinking my choice. I would really like to stay in the full C range. I want to be able to run and exercise without my boobs getting in my way. Anyone have any recommendations?

I think you are just fine with the 450cc. I am not much bigger then you and I am going win 475cc. Trust me, my surgery is on Thursday and I have been questioning my size decision also. That's the last thing I want to do is go too big, and I am sure you are thinking the same. I say stay with the 450's. Good luck on Thursday

June 13 surgery day

I woke up got ready and headed to the surgery center. Of course there was crazy traffic so it took us longer to get there. I was anxious about the surgery. I went back and got ready for my surgery. I decided to go with 425cc's. I woke up feeling queasy and threw up several times. I am in some pain. I have been taking my pain pills, muscle relaxers, Motrin, and my antibiotic. I spent a lot of time in bed, resting and icing.

Day after surgery

I was up and down all night. I couldn't get comfortable. My left breast is bleeding a little. I have a larger implant in that one. I am still nauseous and not eating much. My breasts feel like they are going to pop. I hope I start to feel better soon.

I had BA with a lift yesterday also. Oh my gosh, I just wanted to get it over with, I was nervous. I ended up going with 475cc. Just like you spent a lot of time icing with a bag of frozen peas, and was up every couple hours last night. Today I feel better, tired though, just a little tightness in my chest, I am sure that is to be expected. Please keep us updated in your progress I would like to see how you are doing. I would like to compare your recovery to mine, because I have no Idea what to expect in the weeks to come. I hope you are doing better!

Reading your comment, I am guessing that you're as swollen as I am. Mine are like 2 balloons ready to pop also
